1-Coinbase: staff cuts.
Coinbase makes staff cuts of 18% in size. It seems that Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, justified the staff cut by stating that his company has been through many crypto winters and knows how to survive. He also added that this cut is also so large as a result of the strong growth that COINBASE had in the last bullish market period, so today it is forced to cut staff because it is in an oversized condition.
2-USDC versus USDT.
The latest data on the two stablecoins USDC and USDT seem to note that USDC is preferred to USDT lately. It is not ruled out that USDC will exceed USDT's capitalization in the coming months. Currently USDT's capitalization is $68 billion while USDC is $55 billion.
3-Star Atlas collaborates with MoonPay.
Gaming platform STAR ATLAS has begun to collaborate with Moonpay. The goal is to be ready when the next wave of users arrives to start using STAR Atlas. MoonPay is a fiat-to-crypto payment system with the goal of facilitating crypto payments. Moonpay's main mission is to make it easy for users to switch FIAT - crypto.
My opinion
1-Coinbase was one of the most popular exchanges between 2014 and 2018, then saw competition grow. In the last 2 years it has suffered competition from Binance and other exchanges born after it, plus this bearish market period has pushed Coinbase to downsize in order to keep the costs of the whole structure down. It is certainly not a good time for this exchange, which is also seeing its own stock at its all-time low.
2-As for me, I have been using USDC stablecoin instead of USDT for quite some time now, I too do not rule out that USDC will be able to surpass USDT's capitalization.
3-I have already seen the Moonpay system in action and in my opinion it is very simple and efficient. This agreement between Moonpay and STAR ATLAS can definitely expand the player base of STAR ATLAS.

1-Coinbase: tagli al personale.
Coinbase effettua tagli al personale per una dimensione pari al 18%. Sembra che Brian Armstrong, CEO di Coinbase, abbia giustificato il taglio al personale dichiarando che la sua azienda ha vissuto molti inverni delle crypto e sa come fare a sopravvivere. Inoltre ha aggiunto che questo taglio è così cospicuo anche a seguito della forte crescita che COINBASE ha avuto nell’ultimo periodo di mercato rialzista, quindi oggi è costretto a tagliare il personale perché si trova in una condizione di sovradimensionamento.
2-USDC contro USDT
Gli ultimi dati relativi alle due stablecoin USDC e USDT sembrano rilevare che USDC ultimamente è preferita a USDT. Non si esclude che nei prossimi mesi USDC superi la capitalizzazione di USDT. Attualmente la capitalizzazione di USDT è di 68 miliardi di dollari mentre USDC è di 55 miliardi di dollari.
3-Star Atlas collabora con MoonPay
La piattaforma di gaming STAR ATLAS ha iniziato a collaborare con Moonpay. L’obiettivo è quello di essere pronti quando arriverà la prossima ondata di utenti che inizieranno ad usare Star Atlas. MoonPay è un sistema di pagamento da fiat a cripto con l’obiettivo di facilitare i pagamenti in crypto. La missione principale di Moonpay è quella di rendere facile agli utilizzatori il passaggio FIAT - crypto.
La mia opinione
1-Coinbase è stato uno degli exchange più conosciuti tra il 2014 ed il 2018, poi ha visto crescere la concorrenza. In questi ultimi 2 anni ha subito la concorrenza di Binance e altri exchange nati dopo di lui, inoltre questo periodo di mercato ribassista ha spinto Coinbase a ridimensionarsi per contenere i costi di tutta la struttura. Non è certamente un buon periodo per questo exchange che vede anche le proprie azioni al suo minimo storico.
2-Per quanto mi riguarda è già da diverso tempo che utilizzo la stablecoin USDC anziché USDT, anch’io non escludo che USDC riuscirà a superare la capitalizzazione di USDT.
3-Ho già visto il sistema Moonpay in azione e a mio avviso è molto semplice ed efficiente. Questo accordo tra Moonpay e Star Atlas può sicuramente ampliare la platea di giocatori di STAR ATLAS.

Penso che questi scambi siano necessari, potrebbero anche apparire di più, l'importante sarebbe offrire più affidabilità, che è la questione che più preoccupa
Concordo con quello che dici… sono necessari. Bisognerebbe concentrarsi sempre di più su una robusta offerta di affidabilità… credo che l’affidabilità delle piattaforme sia ancora uno di quei fattori che allontana le persone dalle crypto
Ho sempre considerato Coinbase una sicurezza, ora sono un po' preoccupato. Stiamo a vedere.
L’exchange aveva programmato molte modifiche in questo 2022, integrazione NFT e integrazione di piattaforma di trading integrata sia nella versione web che dell’app. Peró alcune notizie non sono confortanti. Anche se la dichiarazione del CEO non è male. Praticamente ha detto che Coinbase è passato attraverso tanti crypto inverni e sanno bene come fare a sopravvivere.
