Saturdays were a no-no in the kitchen for me and my housemate friend, so we ate out most of the time. We've been going back to our favourite Fish and Chips restaurant for months. We were both hooked on their meals and could never get enough of their fish and chips and Caesar salad. We sometimes add fried chicken or sausages, but we didn't this time as we didn't feel like it. Instead, we got cheese garlic bread. After finishing our meal, we went in search of dessert. We then spotted a new ice cream shop with fewer people queuing, so we went in right away. It was named Roll Seriez, and I remember it opened around two weeks ago. I tried to buy it last week when I was in the area, but the queues were constantly long.
So it was our turn, and because we had no idea how it worked, we had to tell the lady cashier that it was our first time, and we politely asked which one was their best-seller and how we might get it. The lady cashier smiled and pointed to the menu, indicating that we could customize our order by following the steps. My friend and I both looked at the menu and at each other. We decided not to customize since we were too lazy to think. Hahaha!
The bread base comes in either signature or cinnamon flavours, and the ice cream comes in either chocolate or vanilla flavours. I chose Signature as my base bread and got The Royal Chocolate. My friend had the Nutty Nutt with cinnamon base bread. Since we both were not fans of too much sweetness and theirs were far too sweet, we did not enjoy it. The bread was sweet as well and we both can't eat the whole thing. We both gave it a 5 out of 10 and agreed that Ilao Ilao yoghurt ice cream tasted superb still. No regrets though for at least we now know how it tasted.
We then decided to head back home and were already near where our car was parked when a colleague of mine sent pictures of Ilao Ilao's Black Froyo. It was charcoal yoghurt! I then showed it to my friend and she got excited, squealed, and wanted to go back since she was not happy with her Nutty Nutt. Well, I wasn't either. I tried to persuade her not to as I was lazy to walk back in there again but she really wanted it badly and even said she is going to pay for both of us. That obviously changed my mind, and so off we went. LOL
So yeah, all ends well as we got to have our Ilao Ilao charcoal yoghurt. We even had the large ones and managed to finish it all in a flash. Unbelievable. hahahaha!
Man, we were so sugary stuffed! 🤷🏻😅
