Another weekend has come to an end. @flowerbaby and I were able to spend pretty much all of it together. The only thing that separated us for a bit was her having to work until 3 pm on Friday. Usually, she's there until 9 pm on Friday, so it was much better than normal. This gave us an extra day to do things.

We were both hungry when she got off of work on Friday, so we went to a local restaurant called Gonzoburger. It was their first day being open in over a month after a kitchen fire. I usually get a burger, but it was fish fry Friday, so I opted to try that and was not disappointed.

After our meal, we walked down the street to this place called Wandering Wing Meadery which was having its soft opening. We were lucky to get there before they ran out of the last of their mead. It's a small place and the guy still hasn't fully opened the meadery yet. We were one of the first around town to get to try and my goodness those drinks have a unique flavor. We tried four different meads and I'll definitely be going back once they have their grand opening and are fully prepared to serve the great city of Charleston.

Once we arrived back home, @flowerbaby decided that she wanted to cut the back of her hair shorter again. I am not sure how she managed to do it with just one mirror, but she did. It looks pretty great to me and I know that she's happier with the back not being quite so long now.

We were supposed to use 2 of our 4 free tickets to a Dirty Birds baseball game, but it got rained out Friday night. We were too tired to go Saturday and too busy on Sunday. I guess we will be going to a game next weekend since the season is close to being over and we must use these free tickets before that happens.

Saturday we went back to the newly remodeled bowling alley called River Alley. I've never in my life been to a bowling alley that was new. All of the ones around here are older than me. River Alley is very nice on the inside, but I don't think it warrants the games costing almost twice as much as the other bowling businesses. I don't think we would go back, simply for that reason. Also, because it is extremely busy on the weekends. Although, we did get lucky by going pretty much as soon as they opened, no crowds yet.

On the way home from bowling, we stopped to visit with my mom for a bit and also to gather the new rug that she got me for free from Wayfair. This thing is so soft and I love the design. It pairs perfectly with the grey couch that she got me a few weeks ago. Thanks so much, mom!

Saturday evening we drove out into a rural area to eat at this country cooking restaurant called Top Spot. Then we stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home and finally got to try their new Blizzard flavors. I went with Cinnamon Roll and she got Pumpkin. Both were insanely good and well worth going to try.

Sunday morning we got up early and went to a breakfast buffet across the street. We were some of the first people to show up and had a yummy meal. It was a great way to start the final day of this past weekend.

Sunday's most exciting thing was the University of Charleston Men's Soccer match versus WV Wesleyan. There were barely over 100 people in attendance, but at least the tickets were free. I was surprised that they do not charge to get into the game. It was the first time we ever went to a soccer game together. I had a ton of fun and she enjoyed watching when goals were scored, although we sat in direct sunlight pretty much the entire game. The final score was 5-1 and we witnessed a UC win. This was mostly due to Wesleyan having a player get a red card in the first half, so they played most of the game a man down and gave up two penalty kicks as well.

In between all of this, we watched movies and tv shows together. We watched quite a bit, but three stood out the most to me. Fall, which I already made a whole video about here. Also, Beast and Monster Hunter. Beast was nearly as thrilling as Fall and Monster Hunter was pretty cool too. Of course, we also watched the 4th episode of House of the Dragon (was that a porno?) and also started this show called Devil in Ohio.

All in all, it was a fine weekend. We got to do a ton of fun stuff and best of all we were together. I'm already looking forward to next weekend.

Thanks for reading about our weekend and looking at some photos to show you a bit of what we did.

Oh my country's shirt, Messi's 10?

Posted using Proof of Brain

I’m a big Messi fan. Argentina has always been one of my favorite international squads. The blue and white striped jerseys are one of my favorite designs ever!

Sounds like an action packed weekend. You did a bit of everything really. The meandery sounds really cool. Sounds like it's worth a re-visit for sure.

Who won the bowling match?

It really was. I was exhausted by the end of every night.
We tried mead for the first time this past summer at The WV Rennasaince Festival. We are so happy that a meadery opened up here. She and I are not heavy drinkers at all, but we do enjoy tasting new brews and this place is the only meadery around here.

I didn't want to mention the winner, but I won both of the two games we played... Even though I was instructed to take a dive for the sake of her moral. I just can't give less than 100% in anything competitive.

Yeah I wouldn't image that there would be too many meadery's in any one place lol. Very cool though. I generally like to try different beers and drinks like that.

I just can't give less than 100% in anything competitive.

Haha yeah I hear you. Congrats on the win 👏

Mead is like a cross between wine and beer. Not exactly, but that’s a decent description. It smells terrible but tastes wonderful. Truly such a unique beverage with nearly endless possibilities.

Sounds good to me 👍

Sounds like a good weekend man! I've had mead once or twice and it's got a different flavor that you don't quite expect. It's pretty good stuff! I wouldn't mind seeing more of them around but I reckon with honey costing a bit more than other materials that's why we don't see it too often.

It's always good getting out early from work so you can enjoy some of the better parts of life! It's sad but I am looking forward to when September ends. It's just a cluster fuck of a month for me and projects. I am absolutely not putting myself in this predicament again! Lol

I wouldn't make a habit of drinking mead (or any alcohol), but it is good every once in a while.

Sucks to have to wish time away, but I understand wanting to get to a less stressful time. I'm in no rush for October, because I turn 30 next month.

Such a fun weekend, I wouldn’t mind it at all, been so bored lately of everything.

Maybe I will plan this with someone

Why have you been so bored? Is there anything keeping you from getting out and having some fun?

Oh first of all, there is nothing to do in the town where I live and secondly, my mental health has been zero

What a weekend! I don't have any photos to send you because I spent this weekend sitting at home. The reason is the post I shared today. I was really tired that day so I rested all weekend. I love watching soccer too and last night I watched a great game of my favorite team. You must have heard of Galatasaray. We started this season really well! I hope we will be champions!

A weekend at home is sometimes better than a weekend out and about.

Yes I’ve heard of Galatasaray… I absolutely love that name, it’s always been so fun to say.

I will check your post.

It has good colours man. Maybe when you come to Turkey, I can gift you a Gala jersey.

😊😎🤙 Hey football Hooligan,

Tell Hannah I like her heart shades!

yay, new rug!

when u said wandering wing.. i immediately though it was a chicken place.. :P

Monster Hunter was a good movie. I only watched upto ep 3 on house of dragons.. got something to watch later.. :)

I'll tell her. Those shades washed up on the beach to us last month.

Too bad the mead place doesn't serve giant turkey legs.

Episode 4 of House of the Dragon is crazy! You will be shocked.

oh really? how cool! 😎😁😜

What a complete package, Bro! Your week really includes all the fun activities and you go about it with all your heart. You are very good at spending time properly and no time is wasted.

You also really customize each activity with the appropriate view. For example, Messi's jersey in his national team. Looks so cool!

Many people who live where I am say there isn’t anything to do here. I’m living proof that statement is a lie. We have plenty to do here, just have to get out there and find it.

Thanks for the jersey compliment!

Wow - what a packed, fun filled weekend you've had, @daltono and @flowerbaby!

Thanks for sharing.

Annabelle 😊

We always love our time together. Thank you for always being so nice

You are both so welcome, @daltono! It's lovely to see you both having such a blast.

Annabelle 😊

Cinnamon roll center... I see a trip to DQ in my immediate future

The best part of a cinnamon roll blended perfectly into a blizzard. Seriously might be their best creation ever.

You guys looks so gorgeous in that pics. It seems you have a great weekend, I'm happy for you both!

Thanks so much bro!

You weekend sounded really exciting . If you don’t mind, What do you do on Sundays that keeps you busy ?

It really depends on the Sunday. Almost always I'm with my girlfriend and we find something different to do every weekend.

You both really had fun and am pretty sure you enjoyed every part of it.

💯 that is the honest truth

A very busy weekend my friend. How did you have enough time for so many activities 😸😸
