I write these lines on a Sunday afternoon where it has not stopped raining, there is fog and what provokes is to return to be in a coffee shop accompanied by good music.
It turns out that I had already seen in social networks several thematic cafes but had not had the opportunity to go to one, this week was the exception because I passed near the coffee shop KFE EN TAZA located on Av Urdaneta before going to do an errand, it seemed to me that there were not so many people, I gave a brief inspection as to consider whether to return later or not and it turns out that I got out of work much earlier than planned so obviously I went back there.
At first glance it may be a business that goes unnoticed because around there are some copy centers, the Saren de la Urdaneta and other businesses that have nothing to do with a coffee that reduces cortisol with cats. The cafe is run by its owner, has 4 kittens (as far as I could tell) and also has its own cat + coffee themed merchandise.
While I was there several of the people who come in are curious to see the cats, most of the first thing they see is one of them lying on the counter at the entrance and that is the perfect invitation to come in. It is well lit, has a couple of areas to take some good pictures, the background music lends itself to give you a moment to contemplate the place while you enjoy something from their menu.
When I arrived the truth is that I was hot so I opted for a refreshing drink, they sell hot drinks, cookies, cake rations, sandwiches and I saw that someone ordered some fries. I found the service pleasant although I thought the owner was much nicer to the cats. The question you may be asking yourself is: Can I bring my cat or are they already there?
I tell you, you can take your kitty but the ones that are there are adopted, the lady told us that the two smaller ones who are called "the panthers", she saw them in a dumpster and brought them with her. They are all sterilized, have their vaccinations and are not allowed to climb on the tables or eat the diners' food. They are there to bring you comfort, reduce stress and watch them walk around the place with the elegance that characterizes these little felines.
If you can, go there because it is very nice and it is a very pleasant environment. Tell me, do you like any themed coffee shop, I'd love to keep getting to know places like this.
Te escribo éstas líneas una tarde de domingo donde no ha dejado de llover, hay neblina y lo que provoca es volver a estar en una cafetería acompañada de buena música.
Resulta que ya había visto en redes sociales varios cafés temáticos pero no había tenido la oportunidad de ir a alguno, ésta semana fue la excepción porque pasé cerca de la cafetería KFE EN TAZA ubicada en la Av Urdaneta antes de ir a hacer una diligencia, me pareció que no había tanta gente, di una breve inspección como para considerar si volver luego o no y resulta que me desocupé mucho antes de lo planeado así que obviamente volví a pasar por allá.
En primera instancia puede que sea un negocio que pasa desapercibido porque alrededor hay como unos centros de copiado, está el Saren de la Urdaneta y otros comercios que nada que ver con un café que te reduce el cortisol con gatos. El café es atendido por su dueña, cuenta con 4 gatitos (por lo que pude apreciar) y además tienen su propia mercancía con la temática de los gatos + el café.
Mientras estuve ahí varias de las personas que entran lo hacen por la curiosidad de ver los gatos, la mayoría lo primero que ve es a alguno de ellos acostaditos en el mesón de la entrada y esa es la invitación perfecta a pasar. Está bien iluminado, tiene un par de zonas para tomar algunas buenas fotos, la música de fondo se presta para que te des un momento y contemples el lugar mientras disfrutas algo de su menú.
Cuando llegué, la verdad, es que tenía calor así que opte por una bebida refrescante, venden bebidas calientes, galletas, raciones de tortas, sándwich y vi que alguien pidió unas papas fritas. La atención la encontré agradable aunque me pareció que la dueña era mucho más simpática con los gatos. La pregunta que te puedes estar haciendo es: ¿Puedo llevar a mi gato o ya esos están ahí?
Te cuento, puedes llevar a tu gatico pero los que ahí se encuentran son adoptados, la Sra nos comentó que los dos más pequeños a quienes les llaman “las panteras”, los vio en un basurero y se los trajo consigo. Todos ya están esterilizados, tienen sus vacunas y no tienen permitido subirse a las mesas o comerse lo de los comensales. Ellos están ahí para generarte confort, disminuir el estrés y verlos andar por el local con la elegancia que les caracteriza a estos pequeños felinos.
Si puedes, acércate porque está muy bonito y es un ambiente muy agradable. Cuéntame, si te gusta alguna cafetería temática, me encantaría seguir conociendo lugares así.

Hello, yes, they are super cute. The white one with black spots had been sleeping there for a while, the white one joined him later but they were both very comfortable and we were all watching over their sleep. 😍🥰💜

No tenía ni idea de que hubiesen abierto un lugar así en Caracas, que bien me hubiese venido hace unos años cuando pasé tantas horas por esa zona dando vueltas haciendo trámites y papeleo.
Jajaja qué divertido que estén ahí tan tranquilos y puedas hacerle fotos, siento que es todo un avance, si me preguntaban yo hubiese creído que un local así en Caracas no sería posible. He escuchado de algunos Cat-Cafés como les llaman en España pero nunca he tenido la oportunidad de acudir a ninguno, me alegra haber leído de ello aquí en Hive.
Es bueno saber que haya gente que cuide y se preocupe por estos animalitos, más aún que comparta a los suyos como terapia jaja seguro pasaste un buen rato 😺
