So Tuesday dashed in with a hint of coolness, a lot actually. This week of March is unusually cold when it is supposed to be warm already. We're at 13°C this morning and tonight's forecast is 11°C. It's frackin' cold that I'm wearing my pair of not-so-pink knitted gloves as I type this, lol!
I'm hoping it gets warmer as the day progresses and the sun will finally come out and shine above our lil kingdom. I'd be out and about when that happens.
Meanwhile, here's to share some captures during the weekend.
Our first stop on Saturday afternoon, well after parking our cow at the school gym grounds, was the place where the temporary huts have been set up to showcase the creativity of each of the barangays in town. We thought they were at the school oval but it turned out, they had them at an area with limited spaces so it was quite crowded when we arrived and almost no chance of taking photos without people's faces getting into the view.
The husband who is usually the one excited to capture stuff just walked around, his hands on his pockets. So we just took a stroll to see what each of the 10 or 11 huts have. The most common were greens, i.e. vegetables, flowers, succulents, plants. Others were more creative or imaginative with their arrangements and presentation, whilst some just had their stuff in the grounds.
One of the huts had quite a display using upcycled materials. I was fascinated by what they did with the garden boots and tires and the colors they used were also warm to the eyes. I mean, who doesn't love pink? I know, some don't but these ones are just lovely aren't they?
One particular thing that caught my attention is the painted slogan they had on the outside wall of the hut. It was written in our local dialect but in English translation, it said "Eat vegetables so you won't catch a cold." (Oh,, I just love how it rhymes, hehe).

I'd say whoever came up with it is quite imaginative. Forgive me for the photo, it was a quick snap so the other piece (a mug) was not captured whole. It's great that they didn't paint the insides of these stuff, otherwise it would have been hard to believe they were crafted out of recycled bicycle and car tires.
Although the stroll was short and quick, it was good to have seen these creative pieces.
We left the place and walked our way towards the sports grounds where we caught up with a volleyball match. There were plenty of people though so we left soon afterwards and moved on to the next stop which I may write about at another time.

Coo girl, but I don't think those boots would work for Motocross.
We can make them work, perhaps give them some cool black straps to accentuate the pinks, lol!

OMG this is so awesome. I've seen something similar with the rims before, but not with the boots, and I think it's so ingenious and cool. I'm glad you stopped to take pictures of them, they look great.

I had a neighbor who made that kind of crafts with tires, unfortunately I never took pictures of them. He mostly made animals, it's an incredible work 😁.

Those boots are cute. They are so creative..but aren't those boost a waste? I mean, I hope those are really recycled and not new just for the sake of this presentation...😅 nonetheless, they are pretty and creative.

To be honest, pink is not among my favorite colors, but I love those pots made with old pink shoes, it looks so creative. Like the tea set, it's so cool that they made it out of recycled tires.
