Es el horror por uno mismo, y el amor por el otro. Un horror que se disfraza de superación, y una busqueda interminable por ser mejor.
Lo que pasa es que acabamos encontrando afuera lo que no hay adentro. Amamos en otros cuerpos lo que no somos capaces de ver en nosotros mismos. Y cuando ellos no cumplen con nuestras propias expectativas, entonces tienen toda la culpa de la desdicha que nos agobia.
Porque si mi felicidad y "amor" están puestos en otro, no me tengo que hacer cargo de cambiar nada yo.
Así siempre es culpa de alguien más. No mía. Sufro, me levanto, pido un cambio, y elijo otro en quien poner mis expectativas, y el ciclo vuelve a comenzar.

The thing is, we end up finding outside what isn't inside. We love in other bodies what we're incapable of seeing in ourselves. And when they don't meet our own expectations, then they're entirely to blame for the unhappiness that overwhelms us.
Because if my happiness and "love" are placed in someone else, I don't have to take responsibility for changing anything myself.
So it's always someone else's fault. Not mine. I suffer, I get up, I ask for a change, and I choose someone else in whom to place my expectations, and the cycle begins again.
