Capturing snow as it melts and turns to ice then to water can be a great way to find something unique and interesting without going very far. I just gathered up some snow, placed it on my railing and caught as many angles as I could with my Nikon 105mm macro lens. Using a little flash can create a neat glimmer and shine in then ice as it forms.
