#1 CLIMA DESÉRTICO... Torreón posee un clima desértico, hace calor casi todo el año. Las temperaturas máximas oscilan entre los 38° y 45°C, en invierno llegamos normalmente a los 2°C comúnmente, pero en contadas ocasiones llegamos a los 0°. El invierno verdadero en realidad llega hasta enero y el calor empieza desde marzo y se extiende hasta octubre, que es cuando empieza a hacer un poco de fresco. Las lluvias son muy escasas pero cuando es temporada de lluvias (a mediados de año), tenemos lluvias intensas que inundan muchos puntos de la ciudad. | # 1 DESERT CLIMATE ... Torreón has a desert climate, it is hot most of the year. The maximum temperatures range between 38° and 45°C, in winter we usually reach 2°C commonly, but on rare occasions we reach 0°. True winter actually lasts until January and the heat starts from March and lasts until October, which is when it starts to get a little chilly. #2 DESAYUNO TÍPICO DE DOMINGO... Los domingos tenemos religiosamente que desayunar menudo o barbacoa, puede haber variaciones de birria 😅 pero de ahí no pasa jaja. | # 2 TYPICAL BREAKFAST ON SUNDAY ... #3 PAN FRANCÉS... El pan favorito de Torreón es el pan francés, sobre todo si está recién hecho, suave por dentro y crujiente por fuera 😍 buenísimo para acompañar el menudo del domingo o la birria, para hacerte un lonche (torta) de lo que quieras, o para acompañar unos frijolitos, queso con chile, huevo, etc. Este pan solamente se produce aquí en la ciudad. | # 3 FRENCH BREAD ... #4 DECIMOS 'ANDE' PARA TODA OCASIÓN... Sin duda una palabra que nos distingue es 'ande' sirve de muletilla o para dar énfasis a cualquier frase, por ejemplo: 'ande no! #5 LAS GORDITAS... Un desayuno que encontrarás en casi cada esquina son las gorditas, son como tortillas pero más pequeñas y más gruesas, pueden ser de harina de trigo o de maíz, se les rellena de cualquier guiso y casi todos llevan picante. Son parecidas a las arepas. Se suelen acompañar con una coca cola. | # 5 LAS GORDITAS ... #6 HACEMOS FIESTAS EN 'QUINTAS'... Las tradicionales quintas son de lo más común, se trata de un espacio para reuniones al aire libre que puede o no incluir alberca, aunque la mayoría tiene alberca. Aquí puedes hacer tus fiestas y convivir con familia y amigos. | # 6 WE HAVE PARTIES IN 'QUINTAS' ... #7 PASEO COLÓN... Los domingos se cierra una de las calles principales de la ciudad y por aquí se instalan puestos de ventas de artesanías, antigüedades, actividades culturales o shows infantiles, puedes caminar por está calle tranquilamente con tu familia e incluso llevar a tus mascotas. Al ser una calle principal, en los alrededores hay mucha variedad de restaurantes que ofrecen desayunos. El paseo colon está durante toda la mañana. | # 7 PASEO COLÓN ... #8 PASEO MORELOS... El paseo morelos es sobre una calle de nombre Morelos, que durante muchos años permaneció en el abandono, se encuentra en el centro histórico de la ciudad. Sin embargo hace pocos años la renovaron y se convirtió en una calle muy transitada, llena de bares y restaurantes para toda la familia, pero sobre todo para vida nocturna. Es una calle muy bonita dónde además cada sábado por la tarde-noche se ofrecen varios eventos culturales a lo largo de toda esta calle. | # 8 PASEO MORELOS ... #9 TELEFÉRICO... Hace unos añitos se inauguró el teleférico, este va desde el centro histórico directo al cerro de las noas, una montaña emblemática de Torreón en la cual hay una iglesia católica. Ofrece muy bonitas vistas desde las alturas. | # 9 CABLE CAR ... Estás nieves son originarias de la ciudad Lerdo, en el estado de Durango, sin embargo en la actualidad ya llegaron hasta torreón, hay sucursales por toda la ciudad, son nieves deliciosas con mucha variedad de sabores. | # 12 CHEPO ICE CREAM... Los tamalitos son un platillo de antojitos mexicanos, estas hechos de masa de tamal con salsa de chile rojo, pero sin relleno, cuando están cocidos se parten en rodajas y se fríen en aceite, se acompañan de verdura (repollo o lechuga, tomate), cueritos, salsa de tomate y salsa picante. Son una típica cena de fin de semana en Torreón. | # 13 TAMALITOS ...
