For our 50th Episode๐ฅ @shadowspub & I welcomed the Hive Open Days-Alicante 2026 event team members @hive-spain's co-founder, @palomap3 and @liotes' founder, @ph1102 to join us to hype Hive Open Days , the 3rd annual IRL mid-sized Hive Community event.
Like any good Kick-off Party we celebrated with a 30-day countdown to the event. We talked about the @valueplan -subsidized tickets, which are available through mid-April for only 20 HBD!
Hive Open Days runs 30 April โ 3 May and will include days designed by the three-peat organizer @tibfox, founder of @buzzparty (just for starters!).

Day 1
Hivians will be welcomed into Alicante, including a proper Spanish dinner.

At ULab, in downtown Alicante, there will be talks about all things Hive, especially what's now, what's new, and what's next.

Excursion time, including a boat trip out to the Mediterranean island of Tarbarca and Paragliding!

One last day to spend with Hive friends, explore the city, take in a museum or just hangout in the warm Valencian sun.

Nice show, I enjoyed that there was a lot of views about these meetups and hope we can keep talking about them. I see that there is a lot of effort put into flesh meeting and being part of the community at the same time, I also think we could expand the scope of these meetings not just to a one chain event specially during bear market season.
Is a bit odd saying on one side, we are cross-border, cross-language, cross-generational community but can't be cross-chain.
Actually I tried to start collabs with 3 different web3 projects and they all turned off because of the market ๐ฎโ๐จ They did not even tried to spread the event with their community. Useless hours of video calls and writing emails, reminders, discord messages :/
That is why I think Hive is being irresponsible with these lavish expenses at this time of the market. I know I am being a grinch, but there is a reason why people and projects are not throwing away their reserve. At least if we could onboard whales that can commit or even promote Hive to a big platform we could make sense of the pump-o-nomics. But this is more of a close event for people already committed to Hive, so not much gain will come out of this for the project.

The show was fun, the hype about HOD got me wishing I could attend. Unfortunately, I don't have the financial power to do so. But I wish ya all a great event.
