Greetings and blessings.!
Tuesday. Today’s a light training session, following a day of interval training—perfect for recovery. I’m sticking to my training routine, adjusting to this period where I have to train without my husband due to his work commitments. I’ve had to change my training routes and schedules to balance my responsibilities at work and at home. For today’s workout, I covered 7.5 kilometers, again on a mix of pavement and grass. I left early; it was already light out, and I got to watch a beautiful sunrise. At the spot where I start the first two kilometers, there are already active people walking and working out on the machines, which makes me feel really safe. I arrived at the stadium exactly at 6:00 a.m.; some active women were already walking there. I continued with my slow workout, in zones 2 and 3, keeping my heart rate below 140 bpm. The paces during this workout ranged from 7:27 to 6:59 min/km. Jogging so gently on the grass is the best; it feels really relaxing. I really enjoyed today’s workout; I brought my water and listened to music on my phone.
While they were jogging, a group of kids arrived for practice—a mix of teenagers and younger children—who were training in judo, and they warmed up by running laps around the stadium. I finished my workout by jogging the last few kilometers gently back home, making the most of that precious time—which is worth its weight in gold for us moms who train and work. And that’s the key to managing your time and sticking to your training plan—you can do it, girls! 💕🙌🏽
