For today a walk around park Bally with a beautiful Aare landscape in English style and the miniaturized pile dwellings a unique specimen of its kind in Europe.
On the top floor it had rooms for 50 workers. On the second floor the employees were allowed to eat and dine for 50 centimes. On the first floor, the workers' dining room was only for 25 centimes.
Today, the buildings of the former shoe factory house, among other things, outlet stores.
Who has not hearing about the Bally shoe factories, they have been important employers in the 19th and 20th centuries. The Bally shoe was and still is world famous and of a high quality.
Carl Franz Bally founded the Bally shoe factory in Schönenwerd-Switzerland already in 1851. The park was part of a typical industrial landscape of the 19th century, consisting of factories, factory owners' villas, workers' houses, warehouses, recreation area and common rooms.
The Park surprises me always with its pile dwellings.
In background also an exhibited storage built 1588 in Gränichen.
Have a great Day!
