He tenido un día ajetreado lleno de emociones, esta semana mi servicio clínico inició por el área de gineco-obstetrica, admito que no es uno de mis servicios favoritos pero como disfruto de ver la llegada de un niño.
Después de 8 semanas de estar en cirugía, ya casi adoptando una postura rígida y un tanto insensible, llegas a un servicio con algo de rigidez pero con un amplio significado: recibir a la vida de un ser humano.
Lo vemos tan a menudo que llega a ser muy normal y parece insignificante, pero la realidad es que es sumamente gratificante el hecho de ver la adaptación fisiológica que tiene cada recién nacido al llegar a este mundo.
Es la primera vez que somos desprendidos radicalmente de nuestra zona de confort, para ser sometidos a una prueba extremadamente difícil; la adaptación inmediata, y cada recién nacido es capaz de superar esta prueba y la mayoría lo hace con éxito.
Hoy recibimos solo dos bebés en nuestro servicio, un día tranquilo dentro de nuestra área, sin embargo son dos campeones que vencieron la adaptación y ya han triunfado en su primera parte de vida.

I have had a busy day full of emotions, this week my clinical service started in the OB/GYN area, I admit it is not one of my favorite services but I enjoy seeing the arrival of a child.
After 8 weeks of being in surgery, already almost adopting a rigid and somewhat insensitive posture, you arrive at a service with some rigidity but with a broad meaning: to receive the life of a human being.
We see it so often that it becomes very normal and seems insignificant, but the reality is that it is extremely gratifying to see the physiological adaptation that each newborn baby has when it arrives in this world.
It is the first time we are radically detached from our comfort zone, to be subjected to an extremely difficult test; immediate adaptation, and every newborn is able to pass this test and most do so successfully.
Today we received only two babies in our service, a quiet day within our area, however they are two champions who overcame the adaptation and have already succeeded in their first part of life.
