There is something wonderful in the towns that make up the route of the Inca Sacred Valley near the city of Cusco, which at the time would hold to be the capital of the Inca empire.

I was in Urubamba and Ollantaytambo, and despite being one of the places with the highest tourist flow due to the number of archaeological sites from the Inca era and because it is the main route to access Machu Pichu, it is always possible to find off the main roads , real material and ethnic vestiges of the ancient Andean culture.

the cobbled streets of these towns are the ones that testify to those origins that have still coexisted for 500 years with the impact of the clash with western culture.

The residential houses, many preserve the old Inca portals, combining overlapping or combined with mixed techniques of Western construction, and the sun bathes the afternoons in a special light in that valley at the foot of majestic snow-capped mountains.

Calles empedradas del Valle sagrado Inca

IMG_20220812_062402_871.jpg

Excellent, I enjoyed every image, you have captured them with great sensitivity and they are very eloquent... I loved the one where you can see the roof of the house, I felt like I was standing there looking at that very narrow cobbled street (an alley I would say) in the version where she is alone with no one in the background... Beautiful post, thank you very much for sharing.
