In response to the invitation from my daughter, @sofiaquino98, I join #ChallengeAccepted - Sorority and Empowerment in a challenge, whose purpose is to empower us as women and recognize that we are all valuable and must support, respect and defend each other.
Aunque, en estos tiempos, la mayoría de las mujeres hemos ganado algunos terrenos en la sociedad, existen otras sociedades donde las mujeres viven en sumisión, no tienen voz para decidir libremente lo que les gustaría ser y hacer, están bajo el poder de los hombres y no tienen ninguna posibilidad de surgir ni de desarrollarse como profesionales, ni de alcanzar metas y tampoco un lugar preponderante en su entorno.
Although, in these times, most women have gained some ground in society, there are other societies where women live in submission, do not have a voice to freely decide what they would like to be and do, are under the power of men, and have no possibility to emerge or develop as professionals, or to achieve goals, and do not have a preponderant place in their environment.
Por lo anterior, debemos unirnos todas, solidariamente, y alzar nuestras voces para alcanzar nuestras libertades y demostrar que tenemos el mismo valor y los mismos derechos que los hombres.
Therefore, we must all unite, in solidarity, and raise our voices to achieve our freedoms and demonstrate that we have the same value and the same rights as men.
Dejemos de criticarnos y de juzgarnos entre nosotras y aceptemos y reconozcamos los valores y cualidades individuales que nos hacen únicas y, así unidas, podremos decir en el futuro ¡lo logramos!, alcanzamos nuestra independencia y somos respetadas en todo el mundo.
Let's stop criticizing and judging each other and accept and recognize the individual values and qualities that make us unique and, thus united, we can say in the future, we made it, we achieved our independence and are respected around the world.
¿Qué me empodera? / What empowers me?
Me empodera aceptarme tal como soy, amarme para poder amar a los demás. Me empodera la voluntad que me mueve a intentarlo todo con amor, dedicación, esfuerzo y creatividad, a luchar hasta conseguir lo que deseo con el pensamiento de que siempre puedo y me empodera la fortaleza a la cual me sostengo para seguir adelante en medio de las más difíciles circunstancias.
