Inclusion or marketing? Let's talk about social movements [ESP/ING]

¡Hola, Comunidad de Hive!

Hello, Hive Commnunity!

In the last few years we have had quite an impressive amount of new movements or rather social currents of our generation; most of them go "against" what morally we have seen in other generations... Starting from here we understand that as a society we have advanced and therefore evidently the customs do.

I want to clarify that this is not a message of hate, nor am I against anything; in fact I always like to soak in the situations but I feel that there are situations that perhaps went too far, there are many people who are at war with themselves but there are also those who take advantage of the "boom" of the moment to get money or some kind of interest.

To give an example; in movies, series, lately we have noticed in movies or series that people are included who before did not have the opportunity, such as transgender people, homosexual couples, women in different roles, among other examples that I could give... Then in some cases the roles of such people are simply based on that; there is nothing beyond that and that is where I ask myself: What are we talking about? If we are a generation that is changing, what is the need to place empty characters and that all they do is say: I am here and I am x thing? I don't get it.

It's the same for me with female empowerment, there is not one thing I like to talk about people doing great things, making history; but sometimes I feel like this is taken as marketing and we see the world moving around that SUCH brand included in big event SUCH kind of people... It makes me think why praise so much something that should be natural? That a person can simply do what they like regardless of their physical or biological characteristics, for me sometimes becomes marketing; because even if we want to deny it, stories sell, touching sensitivities of a portion of the population: sells... And many brands take advantage of it.

I agree that when large corporations demonstrate equality many people begin to change their minds; but it is not necessary to highlight the fact so many times because then I wonder if everything is a strategy or really a change.

I agree with using social networks to bring different messages to groups of people who need it; but we must also understand that there is room for everything, that you cannot criticize a person who does comedy for performing in his space; it is about understanding the contexts. There are things that go out of context and where a lot of hate is also directed towards a person.

I feel that in terms of social networks I could write 3000 words of all the things I have seen, one day you come across someone who launches 30 stories talking about supporting us as women; and when you meet that person it turns out that they are nothing like they appear to be.

The society, the world we live in now is very different from what our parents and even our siblings lived; I like when people have the ability to express themselves and be themselves... Let's become more natural to deal with other human beings, let's stop glorifying attitudes that should be natural, because we all deserve the same respect, and the treatment towards a person depends on what she is; I mean, if someone murders a child or hurts someone... Then that person will have in her life what she deserves.

Answering the question in the title: Inclusion or marketing? I feel that there is a lot of both; it is like many things in today's society, many nuances that sometimes we cannot see or understand. I can only say that let's leave a little bit the intensity of always trying to talk about the same thing, rather let's act naturally, be good people and respect the individuality of each one; that for me is the big step we need to take... Become people who do not judge, who understand the situations of others; be more human and less volatile; defend our convictions with respect and never impose our thoughts by force.

Me extendí mucho.

Saludos ❤️
