"Kiss" is an American band created in 1973, in New York City by bassist Gene Simmons and guitarist Paul Stanley, this band is recognized for using a very characteristic and extravagant makeup, in addition to having a staging full of pyrotechnics, smoke and fake blood, earning several controversies and the admiration of the metal-loving youth of that time. Desde su formación, los miembros de Kiss asumieron personalidades acordes con los maquillajes y vestimenta que llevaban, así Simmons asumió el rol de “Demon”, Stanley el de “Starchild”, Criss el de “Catman” y Frehley el de “Space Ace” o “Spaceman”. La popularidad de esta banda aumentó gracias a sus trabajos Destroyer y Love Gun, creando cierto desequilibrio en la banda gracias a la fama, donde los miembros empezaron a realizar trabajos en solitario, resquebrajando la estabilidad de la banda.
