So it's not quite the end of the year but I'm ready to be done with it already so I'm going ahead and putting this together. Almost all the photos I post on here are taken with my Nikon, I thought it would be interesting to show a slightly different take on things. The photos I take with the phone are largely intended for my personal enjoyment, I hadn't originally intended to publish many of these. There'll be some gaps, especially during the times when I was shooting with my DSLR but also some photos from occasions where I couldn't or didn't get anything with it. Since this year has been quite enough without adding to it (also because I'm not that motivated) I'm just posting the raw, unedited shots.
To make this a little more interesting I'm going to give 10 HIVE away. Between now and when the rewards for this post pay out make your own '2020 phone photos' post and drop the link in a comment in this post. You can call it whatever you want, the only requirements are that you only use photos taken with a phone this year and drop the link in a comment. Once the week is up I will pick the three that catch my attention the most and send them 5,3,and 2 HIVE each. Don't worry about whether your photos are the 'best' (you'll see from my photos that mine are not!), I'm more looking for what grabs my attention and interest. Also, if this gets more than a handful of participants I'll see about sweetening the pot.
Now, without further ado, 2020:
Once the panic set in, Kroger's was pretty scarce pickin's for a while. Even once the meat and dairy products started coming back into stock there was no toilet paper to be found for months still.
These next photos are from the second night of protests here in Louisville (May 29th) and onwards.
So I just ran into the limit on photos I can post, this covers almost half the year (don't worry there's not as many in the second half) so I will throw up the rest in the next day or two.
You don't have to post nearly as many photos as I did to win the HIVE, I just tend to get carried away.
I love random life capture series. Really loved that multiple reflection selfie!
Yeah, I've never done anything like that before but it is fun. May have to do shorter ones more often :)
Thanks! They have a Science Center/Museum in downtown Louisville that has that mirror thing outside the entrance. I was wandering downtown during the lockdown and discovered it.
