Estamos en un momento definitorio de la historia de la humanidad.
La superioridad tecnológica que disponemos hoy día está cada vez más cerca de la ciencia ficción.
Ya hay robots funcionales y capaces de interactuar con seres humanos, ofrecer servicios, soporte técnico, responder preguntas, empaquetar comida, servir bebidas y otras tareas con igual o más efectividad que una persona.
Teniendo en cuenta que los robots no tienen mal humor, ni se cansan, ni pueden ser explotados. El cambio es rotundo a cómo percibimos el mundo. Nos llena de incertidumbre.
¿Se imaginan un mundo donde el trabajo no es necesario?
¿Y quién nos paga? ¿Cómo compramos comida? ¡COMUNISTA!
(No se alteren, era una broma)
Pero recuerdo haberme preguntado lo mismo con las criptomonedas “¿Y porque el bitcoin vale? ¿De dónde sale el dinero? ¡Alguien tiene que poner toda esa plata!“ Sin duda un argumento que se escucha siempre que hablamos sobre cryptos a los outsiders.
Una versión simplista del mundo ¿no?
Cuando recibimos nueva información comprendemos las cosas a otro nivel.
Drones, casas inteligentes y autos eléctricos ya son accesibles en casi todo el mundo. No popularizado, pero si disponible. Las casas se pueden IMPRIMIR. Parece que hablo de cosas del futuro, pero la mayoría de las cosas a las que hago mención no son prototipos o teorias. Sino tecnología accesible y en el mercado.
¿Qué no se pueden imprimir casas? ¡Claro que si!
Es uno de tantos, hay muchos modelos a la venta.
Ahora la discusión es sobre la autoría de la información personal, órganos artificiales, prótesis robotizadas, computadoras cuánticas y machine learning. Sobre los sueldos no se escuchan demasiadas afirmaciones al respecto. ¿Cómo subsistirá la plebe? Un tema intrascendente en la agenda de los titiriteros de wall street.
El fin de la explotación laboral
Es una revolución tan potente que también el trabajo en el campo pasaría a ser completamente automatizado. Brazos mecánicos sobre un carril, plagado de cámaras y sensores detectan la fruta, miden su maduración y posteriormente cortan.
Otra máquina realiza el empaquetado, claro, para la distribución creo que ya todos tenemos conocimiento de los camiones eléctricos que se manejan solos Leer mas aqui.
Por un lado tenemos una robotización y algoritmos como para reemplazar el 70% del mercado laboral. Se viene una revolución como nunca vimos. Entiendo el escepticismo del lector, esto fue dicho varias veces a lo largo de los años.
Sin ir más lejos, los que tenemos algunas canas fuimos educados con la idea de que en el año 2000 los autos iban a volar.
Pero antes no teníamos internet ni la potencia de procesamiento de cálculo de las supercomputadoras.
Ésta es la barrera que hace la diferencia.
Llegamos a un punto donde la Inteligencia artificial diseña codo a codo con los arquitectos e ingenieros en los más variados proyectos. Los resultados son materiales más durables, con un costo menor, más resistentes y ligeros, composiciones más precisas y soluciones que a un ser orgánico no se le ocurrirían.

La inteligencia artificial se mejora a sí misma.
Mas no como te lo imaginas, creer que una Inteligencia artificial va a tomar el control global es un pensamiento muy humano. Las máquinas aprenden, pero no son seres sintientes (al menos hasta ahora)
Son capaces de correr algoritmos complejos.
Pero no tienen consciencia de sí misma ni por ende, ambiciones. Lo que si, es que las innovaciones tecnológicas que vienen de la mano de supercomputadoras es un fenómeno exponencial. La máquina no deja de perfeccionarse, es una herramienta incansable y en constante crecimiento.
No crece por necesidad o voluntad, sino porque asi se lo requerimos.
Es una revolución industrial potenciada por la globalización. Un algoritmo ya puede reemplazar a humanos en no solo tareas repetitivas, también en tareas de diseño funcional (más quizás no artístico)
Un punto de vista más cínico afirma que al perder valor el trabajo, la existencia misma del humano promedio peligra porque carece de utilidad (productivamente hablando)
Hay que ver como, como sociedad esta revolución en los métodos de producción. Tengamos en cuenta que el trabajo va a dejar de ser necesario para mantener a nuestra sociedad.
En muchos países ya se esta discutiendo el concepto de renta básica universal. Sin embargo, un sector corporativo conservador puja por mantener el status quo.
¿Qué va a pasar?
Veo dos posibles escenarios, el negativo es una sociedad neofeudal llena de mendigos con una ínfima clase media y una más ínfima élite.
Por otro lado, la utopía deseada de una sociedad igualitaria. Donde el trabajo es solo el deseo de desarrollar una idea o un sueño. No el interés o la subsistencia. Merecemos más.
Una parte de mi intenta ver que en pocos años, estas tecnologías ya van a comenzar a implementarse a escala global. Necesitamos una conciencia colectiva, un orgullo como raza.
Metas colectivas, dejar de fabricar armas, misiles, ojivas nucleares, es un ridículo desperdicio de recursos, no solo materiales sino intelectuales y económicos.

The technological superiority available to us today is getting closer and closer to science fiction.
There are already functional robots capable of interacting with human beings, offering services, technical support, answering questions, packing food, serving drinks and other tasks with equal or greater effectiveness than a person.

It sounds like I'm talking about things of the future, but most of the things I mention are not prototypes or theories. They are technology that is accessible and on the market.

They are capable of running complex algorithms.
But they have no self-awareness and therefore no ambitions. What is true is that the technological innovations coming from supercomputers is an exponential phenomenon. The machine never stops perfecting itself, it is a tireless and constantly growing tool.
It does not grow out of necessity or will, but because we require it to.
It is an industrial revolution powered by globalisation. An algorithm can already replace humans in not only repetitive tasks, but also in functional (but perhaps not artistic) design tasks.
A more cynical point of view states that as labour loses value, the very existence of the average human being is endangered because it lacks utility (productively speaking).
We have to see how, as a society, this revolution in production methods. Let's keep in mind that work will no longer be necessary to maintain our society.
In many countries the concept of a universal basic income is already being discussed. However, a conservative corporate sector is pushing to maintain the status quo.
What is going to happen?
I see two possible scenarios, the negative one is a neo-feudal society full of beggars with a tiny middle class and an even tinier elite.
On the other hand, the desired utopia of an egalitarian society. Where work is only the desire to develop an idea or a dream. Not interest or subsistence. We deserve more.
Part of me tries to see that in a few years, these technologies will already start to be implemented on a global scale.
