Hasta el año 2020 se realizó la procesión de la Divina Pastora, la cual vale acotar se destacaba por ser la tercera procesión mariana en el mundo, en cuanto a la gran cantidad de personas que se concentraban a acompañarla en su tránsito por diferentes sitios e iglesias.

Until the year 2020, the procession of the Divina Pastora was held, which was the third largest Marian procession in the world, in terms of the large number of people who gathered to accompany her in her transit through different sites and churches.

El año pasado y éste, tuvo que interrumplirse esta importante concentración motivado a la pandemia con la finalidad de evitar cadenas de contagio por covid; no obstante ayer en su lugar, se estuvo realizando un recorrido de la imagen en un vehiculo llamado “Pastora Móvil”, que la llevó a sus feligreses en los 4 puntos cardinales de la ciudad de Barquisimeto, siendo completamente televisado el evento y permitiendo realizar al devoto, un recorrido virtual junto a la Virgen.

Last year and this year, this important concentration had to be interrupted due to the pandemic in order to avoid chains of contagion by covid; however yesterday instead, a tour of the image was carried out in a vehicle called "Pastora Móvil", which took her to her parishioners in the 4 cardinal points of the city of Barquisimeto, being completely televised the event and allowing the devotee, a virtual tour with the Virgin.

Se estaba llamando a la población que no siguieran a la Divina Pastora en vehículos, la idea era esperar la imagen en alguna de las paradas del recorrido. Es impresionante ver que por primera vez sea la Divina Pastora que llega a sus feligreses y no al revés; por otro lado la organización de la iglesia permitió cubrir en el recorrido todas las áreas geográficas posibles: el norte, sur, este y oeste de Barquisimeto, por lo cual estamos muy agradecidos por permitirnos vivir esta experiencia de fé.

The population was being called not to follow the Divine Shepherdess in vehicles, the idea was to wait for the image in one of the stops along the route. It is impressive to see that for the first time it is the Divina Pastora that comes to her parishioners and not the other way around; on the other hand the organization of the church allowed us to cover all the possible geographical areas: the north, south, east and west of Barquisimeto, for which we are very grateful for allowing us to live this experience of faith.

Por amor y devoción a la Virgen María es que se realizan este tipo de actividades religiosas. En esta ocasión, una de las principales peticiones de los feligreses fué pedir por el cese de la pandemia del coronavirus. Hace muchos años se le pidió por vencer el cólera y así fué.

Yo decidí esperar la virgen en el punto más cercano de mi vivienda, esto es al norte de la ciudad, específicamente frente a la Unidad Educativa Colegio Manuel Carlos Piar. se adornó el frente del colegio para recbirla con cariño. La emoción fue tremenda cuando se iba acercando en su vehiculo móvil. Todos gritaban ¡Allá Viene!, todos haciendo la plegarias pidiendo por su intercesión ante su hijo Jesucristo por la salud y demás necesidades particulares, familiares y del mundo entero.

I decided to wait for the virgin at the closest point to my home, that is, in the north of the city, specifically in front of the Educational Unit of the Manuel Carlos Piar School, the front of the school was decorated to receive her with love. The emotion was tremendous when she was approaching in her mobile vehicle. Everyone was shouting "¡Allá Viene!", all praying for her intercession before her son Jesus Christ for health and other personal, family and world needs.

Fué un momento de fé y esperanza. Muchos no están de acuerdo con estas creencias, pero más alla de eso no hay malas intenciones en estos actos.

It was a moment of faith and hope. Many do not agree with these beliefs, but beyond that there are no bad intentions in these acts.
