Brotes de Crecimiento - Crisis de Lactancia || Growth Outbreaks - Lactation Crisis

Semana 3 || Week 3

[ESP]

Breastfeeding will always be the best food for the baby, there are mothers who succeed, others with a little help and others who do not have the guidance needed to succeed in breastfeeding.

This week we will not talk about breastfeeding, but about the crises that occur during its process called "Growth Shoots".

A growth spurt is when the baby cries more than usual, fights with the teat, doesn't seem to get dry and therefore demands more teat, sleeps less or even sometimes gets nervous.

This usually happens at specific times:
♡At 15 days of birth
♡At a month and a half
♡At 3 months
♡At a year and at 2 years.

Some tips to overcome these crises:

🙋🏻Si you have someone to ask for help with the housework, do it. Mummy needs to be patient and relaxed, she needs to rest.

🤱🏻Find a quiet place, where the baby can feel comfortable, to give him/her the titty.

✋🏻Don't force him to take the breast, much less take it out when he doesn't want to. Respect his time.

With a lot of patience and love you will be able to overcome this stage, if you have dad's help he is great, as he is the best ally during breastfeeding.
