Cruzando la frontera // Crossing the frontier

in GEMS3 years ago

Once in Cúcuta (Colombia), I had to think about how I was going to cross the border, that is, how I was going to return to my country (Venezuela). I was a little nervous because it turns out that there is no passage over the bridge and they are only letting the trail pass, and the situation there is a bit delicate, although not so much. Also in my country, the president had decreed that week as radical, that is, you can only mobilize within the same jurisdiction, although if they were letting it pass, you just had to be a bit nice.

So I decided that that day I would stay in Cúcuta where an old friend, while I was thinking about how it was going to happen, although the truth was I just wanted to be at home with my family to tell them how the trip had been, but no way, I stayed that day in Cúcuta And actually I had a good time with my friend because she was very nice to me, she even kept food for me because I arrived after noon and I was very hungry.

After eating, we rested a bit and then we got ready to go for a walk, and actually we just went to have my friend fix her eyebrows a bit, but that distracted me a bit, because I was very sad missing the gringo and with want to see my family.

For the night we had already organized how I would leave the next day, and yes, I got up very early and took a taxi to the stop in Cúcuta, there a friend of my friend was waiting for me who besides accompanying me to cross the trail, but no I was able to take photos there because it is not allowed to take out the cell phone. The man also helped me get a motorcycle taxi to take me to my city of San Cristóbal, and he was a very kind man who even offered me juice at his house.

We only lasted 45 minutes on the road, the truth is that by motorcycle it is faster than by car, and although they hardly let us pass, finally thanks to other friends they did, and when I saw those beautiful mountains, I felt closer to home where They were all waiting for me to tell them how I had gone and of course with food because I was also very hungry.

Saludos!
