Hoy me uno a esta iniciativa creada por @canelarecetas donde compartimos 2 de nuestras meriendas favoritas. En mi caso las tengo muy claras porque amo el dulce pero por razones de salud está claro que no se pueden comer todos los días.

Today I join this initiative created by @canelarecetas where we share 2 of our favorite snacks. In my case I have them very clear because I love sweets but for health reasons it is clear that they cannot be eaten every day .

Chocolate caliente / Hot chocolate

Vivo en el oriente del país y es bastante caluroso pero las tardes suelen ser frescas, a veces frías y nubladas que hacen desear algo caliente, y ahí es donde recurro a merendar mi bebida favorita. Siempre que tenemos chocolate en casa no dudamos en hacer nuestra anhelada bebida y acompañarla de unos deliciosos panes tostados rellenos de queso o sólo margarina.

I live in the east of the country and it is quite hot but the afternoons are usually cool, sometimes cold and cloudy that make you want something hot, and that is where I resort to having my favorite drink for a snack. Whenever we have chocolate at home, we do not hesitate to make our desired drink and accompany it with delicious toasted bread filled with cheese or just margarine.

Galletas palmeritas / Palmeritas cookies

Estas galletas la encontramos fácilmente en Venezuela, de hecho, es de los dulces que venden muy cerca de casa. Las palmeritas son una especie de galletas hechas con masa de hojaldre que acostumbran a presentar una cubierta dulce, que bien puede ser de azúcar glas que aporta un aparente barnizado o de alguna crema derivada del cacao. En casa acostumbramos a acompañarlas con un café oscuro.

These cookies are easily found in Venezuela, in fact, it is one of the sweets that they sell very close to home. Palmeritas are a kind of cookies made with puff pastry that usually have a sweet coating, which may well be icing sugar that provides an apparent glaze or some cream derived from cocoa. At home we usually accompany them with a dark coffee.

Alfajores / Caramel cookies

Estas galletas no pueden faltar. Son divinas y me encanta cuando tenemos el placer de merendarlas. Normalmente las comemos cuando salimos porque las venden hacia el centro de la ciudad. Están rellenas de dulce de leche y en el borde tienen coco o maní, como en este caso. Totalmente un manjar.

These cookies cannot be missing. They are divine and I love it when we have the pleasure of having a snack. We usually eat them when we go out because they sell them towards the city center. They are filled with dulce de leche and on the edge they have coconut or peanuts, as in this case. Totally a delicacy.

Esas son mis 3 meriendas favoritas. La verdad que escribiendo esto se me aguó la boca jajaja. Esta súper creativa esta iniciativa y es excelente para antojarnos un rato.

Those are my 2 favorite snacks. The truth is that writing this made my mouth water hahaha. This initiative is super creative and it is excellent to indulge ourselves for a while.
