Hola amigos de la comunidad de Hive. Hoy he decidido compartir con ustedes uno de los trabajos realizado para un cliente, el cual consiste en la elaboración de etiquetas en material vinilo con temática: Día de las Madres.
Hello friends of the Hive community. Today I decided to share with you one of the works done for a client, which is the development of labels in vinyl material with the theme: Mother's Day.

Paso 1
Design: To design I use Adobe Illustrator as my main tool, since it is a program that helps me in everything related to vectors and text editing. In this case for the phrase "Happy Mother's Day" I used two typefaces downloaded from Dafont, I try almost always to contrast them using a Serif or Sans Serif typeface with a Script or Italic typeface. With vectors of rectangular shapes, I made the white ribbon with the word Mom, which in the background enhances the word Mom. I also used a Heart shape. Then I exported as an image in JPG format.

Paso 2
In this step I export the image to the suite of a program called silhouette studio, which works directly with the Cameo cutting plotter, this plotter cuts all types of paper and vinyl, after exporting the image I apply the contour tool I shade the image with the arrow, and it is ready to cut.

Paso 3
Vinyl color selection: For this one I used red for the happy day lettering and the heart, and for the word Mom and the ribbon, white vinyl. I used these colors since the final label will be printed on glass; my intention is to highlight it.

Paso 4
The vinyl is placed on the mat and secured with paper tape, so as not to have any inconvenience with the cut.

Paso 5
I introduce the mat in the Cameo 4 cutting plotter, I make sure that it is well aligned, in this case the cutting blade from 1 to 10, I placed it in 5 and the pressure from 1 to 30, I used it in 10, this option varies according to the use that has been given to the blade, after the cut is ready I remove the mat from the plotter.

Paso 6
Carefully remove the remaining vinyl taking care of the small details; this process is called label cleaning.

Paso 7
After cleaning the labels, I apply transparent adhesive tape, removing a little of the glue with the help of fabric or in my case I used my pants. When finished I cut each one by piece and they are ready to glue.

Paso 8
The glass jars are reused, I cleaned and dried them very well, and then placed the vinyl and removed the remaining adhesive tape; you must be very careful when removing the tape so as not to break the vinyl as it is a bit delicate.

Now it is ready. Having finished the process, this is the final finish; and the wonderful thing about this is that it can be applied on any smooth surface. To help you understand it better, I left an example of it on a gift bag made with craft paper.
