Beer, Meetup, Bowling, Home - Sunday

in GEMS3 years ago

Woke up to it raining. It looked cool on the lake as the waves of the storm came through. It made everything a sloggy mess but the pavement was not bad. It was mainly over the pan handle and doppler didn't show anything over the farm. We managed to get the boys rousted and out for breakfast at Connie's again as the food is super good and we got in just in time to get seated. They get busy fast.

We checked out of the hotel then headed over to the bowling alley to see if they might be open but their fb page said 2pm, and it was 11 am. So we had to kill some time before we could go which meant a trip through Walmart which most people were maskless!!! to pick up some things so we aren't having to deal with the insanity of the lines in Washington. We ended up driving up the road towards Schweitzer to the round about on top then over to Laughing Dog again to sit for a while.

While there @jacobtothe and @scribblingmama arrived and we had a great round of conversation for a while before we headed over to bowling. We've seen each other so infrequently so it was good to connect again.

We got our lane and had 2 games. The first went smooth and we all were getting warmed up. There were a good amount of people in the alley and a nice bit of commotion. R pulled the same trick as in North Dakota bowling of carrying the ball up the step to the lane, tripping and falling hitting his chin on the ball. Dude can not be carrying the ball and trying to take steps.

The second game went much more rough as the boys hit overload mode and both just about melted down. Too much going on I think and the weight of the crumbling world around us has been having an impact on them.

They managed to make it through the second game which I think is my best score ever for bowling, 163 and I got 3 strikes in a row. Amazing.

It was after 4 by the time we left Sandpoint to come home and had just gotten dark when we pulled in after the exactly 1 hour drive. I missed the launch but I hope to see them couple to the ISS this evening.

Today it will be raining , R has school, I have cleanup around the farm with the snow melting, I have studying to do, antennas to work on, do something with J while R is in school, and work on the studio that needs to keep going on.
