Cleaning and tending the plants in the garden is a task I do together with my mother, they are usually free of worms or caterpillars, so far the monarchs have not been present, so finding a little worm is quite difficult, and even strange, this morning before the rain started, I was watering my plants and I noticed this little friend, at first glance he looked like a little measuring worm, that's what they commonly call the worms found in corn, but unlike this one the measuring worm has black, brown and white stripes, this one, on the contrary, is a green color that made it almost imperceptible among the leaves of my good grass plant.
This little friend is a caterpillar of the butterfly plusia, a species of moth, of the family Plusiinae, a night butterfly, but its caterpillar, this little one was eating my little good grass plant in broad daylight, is a complete abuser hahaha.
Now I have to keep an eye on my plants because these caterpillars have both nocturnal and diurnal habits, and I have noticed that some of my plants, especially the cucumber ones, are being attacked because their leaves appear chewed, however, I have not been able to find their attacker. Although these girls usually appear in late summer, and today's rain indicates that winter is here to stay.
Considered a crop pest, these caterpillars can be a real problem for farmers, eating both leaves and fruit. Since we only found a single caterpillar after an exhaustive search (we will still have to check it at night), I must confess that we took it with the help of a small branch and fed it to the cock of the house hahaha, no, I did not feel any kind of guilt, my seedlings are sacred, and unfortunately this small one does not bring any benefit to them, so the decision was easy.

Limpiar y atender las plantas del jardín es una tarea que hago en conjunto con mi madre, por lo general están libres de gusanos u orugas, hasta el momento las monarcas no se han hecho presente, por lo que encontrar un pequeño gusanito es bastante difícil, e incluso extraño, esta mañana antes de que empezara la lluvia, estaba regando mis plantas y me percate de este amiguito, de primera vista parecía un gusanito medidor, así le dicen comúnmente a los gusanos que se encuentran en el maíz, pero a diferencia de este el gusano medidor tiene franjas negras, marrones y blancas, este por el contrario es de un color verde que lo hacía casi imperceptible entre las hojas de mi planta de hierba buena.
Este pequeño amiguito es una oruga de la mariposa plusia, una especie de polilla, de la familia Plusiinae, una mariposa nocturna, pero su oruga, esta pequeña se estaba comiendo mi pequeña planta de hierba buena a plena luz del día, es una completa abusadora jajaja.
Ahora tengo que estar pendiente de mis plantas pues estas orugas tienen hábitos tanco nocturnos como diurnos, y me he percatado que algunas de mis plantas, en especial las de pepino están siendo atacadas pues sus hojas aparecen masticadas, sin embargo, no he podido dar con su atacante. Aunque estas niñas aparecen por lo general al final del verano, y la lluvia de hoy indica que el invierno llego para quedarse.
Consideradas plagas para los cultivos, estas orugas pueden ser un verdadero problema para los agricultores, pues comen tanto hojas como frutos. En vista de que solamente encontramos una sola oruga después de una exhaustiva búsqueda (igual tendremos que revisar de noche), debo confesar que la tomamos con ayuda de una pequeña rama y se la dimos de comer al gallo de la casa jajaja, no, no sentí ningún tipo de culpa, mis plantitas son sagradas, y lamentablemente esta pequeña no aporta ningún beneficio a ellas, así que la decisión fue fácil.

Thats was a big one there, it really kill those plants leaves. At first i never saw it clearly on my phone..
Use organic pesticides for your plants friend.
If that's what he'll start doing once the rains stop, because otherwise he'll lose it.

Wow, this is by far the best camouflaged caterpillar that I ever saw ^^
