Cómo surgió este día
Uno de los productos que se obtiene y que se comercializa es el cannabidiol (CBD), el cual es considerado como el segundo cannabinoide de mayor relevancia de la planta de cannabis. Este puede encontrarse en proporciones variables en las plantas, dependiendo de la cepa. Una de sus características más resaltantes es que no posee efectos psicotrópicos, atribuyéndose propiedades calmantes, antiinflamatorias y antipsicóticas. Por lo tanto, con aplicación medicinal.
Se ha referido que este aceite puede ayudar en el tratamiento de varias afecciones de los seres humanos, como dolores, trastorno del sueño, es bueno para controlar el estrés y la ansiedad. De hecho, se propone como sustituto de los ansiolíticos y antidepresivos, siendo un producto completamente natural. Se ha empleado en pacientes con cáncer para el control del dolor y las náuseas.
En el caso de la piel el CBD se puede utilizar para reducir, el acné debido a sus propiedades antiinflamatorias, las líneas de expresión al parecer las minimiza, cuando leí esto, me dije que deseaba probarlo. Este aceite se ha vuelto popular, sin embargo, no es legal en todas partes, aunque la cifra de países que permiten la venta y comercialización ha ido aumentando (Alemania, Bulgaria, Austria, entre otros). Aunque se establecen límites de concentración de algunos compuestos, específicamente el THC (tetrahidrocannabinol) que sí posee efectos psicotrópicos. Quizás pueda ser una buena alternativa, pero considero que se debe estar atento a los efectos adversos y evidentemente si es para uso medicinal, bajo supervisión médica.
Considero que el uso recreativo seguirá siendo una polémica, siempre existirán dos grupos unos en pro y otros en contra, dependiendo del contexto y de las experiencias. Lo que sí está claro es que es un producto natural y que los seres humanos desde que estamos en la tierra hemos empleado los productos naturales con muchos fines.
Para finalizar, dese mencionar que una de las cosas que me llamó la atención son los otros usos que se les puede dar a esta planta. En este caso el cáñamo se ha empleado desde tiempos remotos, para fabricar las velas de los barcos, papel, ropa, cuerdas, incluso se dice que los barcos de Cristóbal Colón tenían varias piezas en las cuales se empleaba esta planta. Actualmente, se está comercializando varios productos obtenidos del cáñamo y particularmente me parece una alternativa más amigable que el plástico.

Finally, I would like to mention that one of the things that caught my attention is the other uses that can be given to this plant. In this case, hemp has been used since ancient times to make the sails of ships, paper, clothing, ropes, it is even said that the ships of Christopher Columbus had several pieces in which this plant was used. Currently, several products obtained from hemp are being marketed and I particularly find it a friendlier alternative to plastic.
