Por mi parte el nivel máximo que he obtenido hasta ahora en cuanto a la educación formal es mi titulo universitario específicamente como T.S.U. en Ciencias Audiovisuales y fotografía (he realizado algunos cursos complementativos también), si a mi me preguntaran ¿Para ejercer esa carrera hace falta pasar por universidad? Probablemente respondería que no, mas sin embargo puedo decir que mis 3 años de universidad los disfrute mucho hice amistades para toda una vida y aprendí y mucho no solo a nivel intelectual también como ser humano.
For my part, the highest level I have obtained so far in terms of formal education is my university degree, specifically as a T.S.U. in Audiovisual Science and Photography (I have taken some complementary courses as well), if I were asked To practice that career, is it necessary to go through a university? I would probably answer no, but nevertheless I can say that I enjoyed my three years of university, I made friends for a lifetime and learned a lot, not only intellectually but also as a human being.
Y ¿es que acaso todos deben ir a la universidad? Nuevamente creo que no, o mejor dicho depende de la carrera si bien es cierto hay estudios de mucha complejidad, hay otros que requieren mas de la practica.
Should everyone go to college? Again I think not, or rather it depends on the career, although it is true that there are studies of great complexity, there are others that require more practice.
Recuerdo un día navegando por youtube que me tope con un vídeo que realizo un estudiante de la universidad de Harvard, en donde básicamente recreaba un día en su vida universitaria , sus estudios estaban relacionados a la informática y la mayoría de las materias que el había escogido (porque tenia esa posibilidad) poco o casi nada estaban relacionadas con la informática , pues se buscaba que los estudiantes se fuesen descubriendo y tomaran sus propias decisiones con un pensum mas flexible, lo cual a mi parecer es fascinante y es hacia donde debería ir la educación universitaria.
I remember one day while surfing on youtube I came across a video made by a student at Harvard University, where he was basically recreating a day in his university life, his studies were related to computers and most of the subjects he had chosen (because he had that possibility) were little or not at all related to computers, because he wanted students to discover themselves and make their own decisions with a more flexible approach, which in my opinion is fascinating and is where a university education should go.
Con respecto a la educación de primaria y bachillerato, creo que hay materias de mas, que no son aplicables a la vida cotidiana y que después de todo es conocimiento que se diluye, aunque si considero que hay algunas que ayudan a descubrir la vocación final. También creo que hace falta enseñar a los mas jóvenes, sobre nutrición y vida sana, a manejar las emociones, y ah manejar las finanzas cosas que me parecen cruciales para la vida y que en consecuencia traerían adultos mas felices sanos y con mayor sentido de valía lo que terminaría en una sociedad mucho mas llevadera, después de todo se vale soñar…
With respect to primary and secondary education, I believe that there are subjects that are not applicable to everyday life and that after all, it is knowledge that is diluted, although I do consider that there are some that help to discover the final vocation. I also believe that it is necessary to teach young people about nutrition and healthy living, how to manage emotions, and how to manage finances, things that seem to me to be crucial for life and that consequently would bring happier, healthier adults with a greater sense of worth, which would end up in a much more bearable society.
