Mil bendiciones gente bella de Hive y Discord, hoy tengo el placer de presentarles mi primera producción discográfica, FOLCLOREANDO con Gerónima Muñoz, la cual hice en el año 2010, con el fin de brindar un aporte a nuestra cultura y todos los amantes de la música tradicional venezolana.
Después de varios años decidí remasterizar esta obra con el apoyo de los Maestros William García (Director y Productor General) y Jesús Muñoz (Técnico de sonido), para darla a conocer y entregarla a mi país como parte del patrimonio cultural intangible que le pertenece al pueblo, por otra parte, teniendo el objetivo principal de preservar en el tiempo nuestros diversos géneros musicales que se conozcan y se divulguen. Asimismo, durante más de 40 años me he dedicado a la proyección, difusión y defensa de la música tradicional en Venezuela, convencida de que es un deber enaltecer la identidad nacional y que se conozca en todo el planeta.
En esa hermosa tarea de dar a conocer la música tradicional y popular de Venezuela, surge esta primera producción discográfica, contando con el apoyo de amigos músicos que de forma incondicional colaboraron para cristalizar este sueño. Siempre pensé en la importancia de dejar un testimonio, algo tangible de mi trabajo artístico, realizado a través del tiempo. Tenía la idea de grabar un disco y estar en escenarios a nivel nacional e internacional, pero me dediqué gran parte de mi vida al ser docente, afortunadamente en el área de Educación Musical, siempre cultivando en nuestros niños, niñas y adolescentes el amor por lo nuestro.
Considero que en todos nuestros hogares, se tiene que escuchar la música tradicional y popular de Venezuela, sentirnos orgullosos de lo que somos, una forma de hacer mejor país es enseñarle a ese semillero desde los más pequeños de la casa, la variedad tan grande que tenemos en géneros musicales. Podemos disfrutar, cantar, tocar y bailar el Merengue Caraqueño, Pasodoble, Tambor de Aragua, San Millán, Edo. Carabobo, Litoral Central, Edo. Miranda, el Joropo llanero, oriental, central, entre otros, y así tendremos una generación de relevo con más valores y consciencia de lo que somos con un mayor nivel de pertenencia hacia el ser venezolanos.
Partiendo de la necesidad de proyectar nuestra música tradicional y que llegue a todos los rincones de Venezuela y el mundo, les dejo este hermoso regalo Folcloreando con Gerónima Muñoz, bajo la Dirección General y Musical del Maestro William García, donde comparto como solista, junto al Maestro Hernán Marín, Gualberto Ibarreto, Giovanni Palacios, Jesús Berenzola, entre otros destacados músicos que me acompañan.
FOLCLOREANDO, así se llama el tema promocional, letra y música William García, Género Merengue, contando con la participación especial de Gualberto Ibarreto (Patrimonio Cultural Viviente de Venezuela), aparte, participa en la Guitarra Carlos García, Antonio Vásquez en la flauta, Evangelina Pacheco (Violín), Luis Velásquez y Willy Mayo en la percusión, Epifanio Laya (Maracas), Bajo, Cuatro y Mandolina: William García.
Cabe destacar, que esta producción discográfica, consta de diez temas, donde se trata de enaltecer a nuestros cultores, hacemos un paseo por la geografía e historia del país, por ejemplo: desde Caracas con el Merengue titulado “El Rucane´a” ‘o y Pa´ lante y pa´ tras del Maestro Nelson Navarro (insigne compositor venezolano y excelente guitarrista, recientemente fallecido), desde allí nos vamos al oriente venezolano con la Jota, haciendo un homenaje a esa gran mujer que dio la vida por el folclor y que dio a conocer este género en Cumaná, Estado Sucre, María Rodríguez (Cultora, Cantora y folclorista), el tema se titula Recuerdo en Jota, letra de la Maestra Milagros Figuera (Decimista y multi-instrumentista), en el texto se destacan a algunos próceres y aborígenes de nuestra independencia que dieron su vida en la lucha contra el invasor español.
Siguiendo con el recorrido, pasamos al Joropo - Estribillo “Dame un beso corazón”, letra y música del Maestro Hernán Marín (Patrimonio Cultural Viviente de Venezuela, Compositor, Bailador y Docente en la Universidad de Oriente), compartiendo con él como cantante solista, quien menciona “… toda mi vida quise grabar un joropo para colocarle al estribillo, la palomera y hacerlo como parte del estribillo, eso no se conoce y es primera vez que lo hago, y lo logré en este Joropo, al fin se me dio…”
Luego nos vamos a los llanos venezolanos con el género Pasaje, Luna Venezolana, letra y música William García, a través de la letra el Maestro expresa la belleza de nuestra región llanera, dibujado en su canción.
Así mismo, muestro el Merengue “Para ti mi niña” del Maestro Antonio Martínez (Cultor, docente, flautista, cuatrista, compositor y arreglista), asimismo, la Parranda Amor en el Universo cuya autoría es de Giovanni Palacios con quien tengo la satisfacción de cantar como invitado especial junto a Jesús A. Berenzola. Y al finalizar el paseo, llegamos al pueblo del Calla´o, Estado Bolívar para disfrutar del tema “Carnaval en el cielo”, letra y música William García con la participación especial de Jesús Muñoz en el Stell pan, rindiendo homenaje a grandes cultores que ya no están con nosotros como por ejemplo: Madama Isidora Agnes, (líder de las comparsas, excelente cantadora y bailadora) popularmente llamada Negra Isidora, que le dio gran trascendencia al Calipso en Venezuela, representando día a día el trabajo con su música. Por otra parte, insignes Maestros con los que compartí en vida como lo son Leopoldo Billings (Docente, Compositor y Director de Orquesta) y a su esposa Cleotilde Billings, ambos cultivaron la tradición del Calipso, Carlos Small (Ejecutante del tambor Bumbac y Cultor Popular en El Callao), Lourdes Basanta (Madama, luchadora social y defensora de nuestra cultura, siempre estuvo presente con su participación activa en los Carnavales del pueblo.
Cabe destacar, FOLCLOREANDO con Gerónima Muñoz, se logra gracias a la participación de músicos e intérpretes de alta calidad humana y profesionalismo como Belkis Figuera, Jesús Alberto Berenzola, Francis Jiménez, Marisol Carreño en los coros, aparte, en la ejecución: Nelson Navarro, Isolis Ramírez, Luis Ramírez, Evangelina Pachecho, Rodolfo Rodríguez, Willy Mayo, Iván Lira, Milagros Figuera, Marcos Mayaudón, Jesús Muñoz, William García, Antonio Vásquez, Harold Vargas, Luis Velásquez e invitados especiales como Gualberto Barreto y Hernán Marín, Grabado en: Jesús Muñoz STUDIOS, Diseño Gráfico de Ileana Vargas y Ramón V. A thousand blessings, beautiful people from Hive and Discord, today I have the pleasure of presenting my first record production, FOLCLOREANDO with Gerónima Muñoz, which I did in 2010, in order to provide a contribution to our culture and all music lovers traditional Venezuelan.
After several years I decided to remaster this work with the support of the Masters William García (Director and General Producer) and Jesús Muñoz (Sound Technician), to make it known and deliver it to my country as part of the intangible cultural heritage that belongs to the town, on the other hand, having the main objective of preserving in time our various musical genres that are known and disseminated.
Likewise, for more than 40 years I have dedicated myself to the projection, diffusion and defense of traditional music in Venezuela, convinced that it is a duty to enhance the national identity and that it is known throughout the planet.
In this beautiful task of making the traditional and popular music of Venezuela known, this first record production arises, with the support of musician friends who unconditionally collaborated to crystallize this dream. I always thought about the importance of leaving a testimony, something tangible of my artistic work, carried out over time. I had the idea of recording an album and being on stage at a national and international level, but I dedicated a large part of my life to being a teacher, fortunately in the area of Music Education, always cultivating in our children and adolescents the love for what our.
I believe that in all our homes, you have to listen to the traditional and popular music of Venezuela, feel proud of who we are, one way to make a better country is to teach that seedbed from the smallest of the house, the variety so great that we have in musical genres. We can enjoy, sing, play and dance the Merengue Caraqueño, Pasodoble, Tambores de Aragua, San Millán, Edo. Carabobo, Litoral Central, Edo. Miranda, the Joropo llanero, Oriental, Central, among others, and thus we will have a generation of relief with more values and awareness of what we are with a higher level of belonging to being Venezuelans.
Starting from the need to project our traditional music and that it reaches all corners of Venezuela and the world, I leave you this beautiful gift Folklorendo con Gerónima Muñoz, under the General and Musical Direction of Maestro William García, where I share as a soloist, together with the Maestro Hernán Marín, Gualberto Ibarreto, Giovanni Palacios, Jesús Berenzola, among other outstanding musicians who accompany me.
FOLKLORE, this is the name of the promotional theme, lyrics and music William García, Genre Merengue, with the special participation of Gualberto Ibarreto (Living Cultural Heritage of Venezuela), apart, he participates in the Carlos García Guitar, Antonio Vásquez on the flute, Evangelina Pacheco (Violin), Luis Velásquez and Willy Mayo on percussion, Epifanio Laya (Maracas), Bass, Cuatro and Mandolin: William García.

Continuing with the tour, we went to the Joropo - Chorus "Give me a heart kiss", lyrics and music by Maestro Hernán Marín (Living Cultural Heritage of Venezuela, Composer, Dancer and Teacher at the Universidad de Oriente), sharing with him as a soloist singer, who mentions “… all my life I wanted to record a joropo to place the chorus, the palomera and do it as part of the chorus, that is not known and it is the first time that I do it, and I managed it in this Joropo, at last it was given to me… "
Then we go to the Venezuelan plains with the genre Pasaje, Venezuelan Moon, lyrics and music William García, through the lyrics the Master expresses the beauty of our llanera region, drawn in his song.
Likewise, I show the Merengue “For you my girl” by Maestro Antonio Martínez (Cultor, teacher, flutist, cuatrista, composer and arranger), likewise, the Parranda Amor en el Universo whose authorship is by Giovanni Palacios with whom I have the satisfaction of sing as a special guest with Jesús A. Berenzola. And at the end of the tour, we arrive at the town of Calla´o, Bolívar State to enjoy the theme “Carnival in the sky”, lyrics and music by William García with the special participation of Jesús Muñoz in the Stell pan, paying tribute to great cultists who They are no longer with us as for example: Madama Isidora Agnes, (leader of the comparsas, excellent singer and dancer) popularly called Negra Isidora, who gave great importance to Calypso in Venezuela, representing day by day work with her music.
