¡Hola comunidad hive!
El día de hoy me gustaría compartirles, otro gran éxito del extraordinario Ken Follet, un libro que sin duda evocara sus más intensas emociones. Particularmente me mantuvo noches en vela, era un gran conflicto entre mi cuerpo pidiendo descanso y mi mente eufórica por leer más.
Sin más preámbulos les presento el 3er libro de mi top 5.
3- Los Pilares de la Tierra
KEN FOLLET
Como ya les había comentado en el post del 1er libro, Kenneth Martin Follett, mejor conocido como Ken Follet es uno de los autores más queridos y admirados por los lectores en el mundo entero y la venta total de sus libros supera los ciento sesenta millones de ejemplares. Sus historias están llenas de mucha fascinación, contexto histórico y suspenso.
En los pilares de la tierra, nos vamos a ubicar en la Edad Media, en concreto en el siglo XII, durante un periodo de guerra civil conocido como la anarquía inglesa. Se entrelazará la vida de un albañil desafortunado y sus tres hijos, un monje con un gran propósito, una mujer acusada de brujería y su hijo, caballeros, condes y reyes, cuyas vidas tendrán una cosa en común, el priorato del Prior Philip
La obsesión del monje por edificar una catedral digna de Dios en Kingsbridge, los embarcará en una historia llena de odio, venganza y rencor, pero muy a pesar de las vicisitudes que acontecerán el monje terco no se dará por vencido. Su hermosa catedral de arquitectura gótica tiene que realizarse, así le tome a nuestro escritor tres libros.
No te arrepentirás de leer esta obra, sentirás odio por algunos personajes, compasión por otros cuantos, pero sobre todo mucho amor por esta historia. Nuevamente Ken Follet nos llena de mucho contexto histórico, ilustrando una época bastante pintoresca y sencillamente fascinante.
Este libro también es el primero de una trilogía, y tiene una serie televisiva.

Today I would like to share with you another great success from the extraordinary Ken Follet, a book that will undoubtedly evoke your most intense emotions. In particular, it kept me awake nights, it was a great conflict between my body asking for rest and my euphoric mind to read more.
Without further ado I present to you the 3rd book of my top 5.
3- The Pillars of the Earth
KEN FOLLET
As I had already mentioned in the post of the 1st book, Kenneth Martin Follett, better known as Ken Follet, is one of the most loved and admired authors by readers around the world and the total sale of his books exceeds one hundred and sixty million copies. Their stories are filled with a lot of fascination, historical context, and suspense.
In the pillars of the earth, we are going to locate ourselves in the Middle Ages, specifically in the 12th century, during a period of civil war known as the English anarchy. The lives of an unfortunate bricklayer and his three sons, a purposeful monk, a woman accused of witchcraft and her son, knights, counts and kings, whose lives will have one thing in common, Prior Philip's Priory, will be intertwined.
The monk's obsession to build a cathedral worthy of God in Kingsbridge will embark them on a story full of hatred, revenge and resentment, but despite the vicissitudes that will befall the stubborn monk will not give up. Its beautiful cathedral of Gothic architecture has to be realized, even if it takes our writer three books.
You will not regret reading this work, you will feel hatred for some characters, compassion for a few others, but above all a lot of love for this story. Again Ken Follet fills us with a lot of historical context, illustrating a rather picturesque and simply fascinating time.
This book is also the first in a trilogy, and has a television series.
