🎶🎻 Menú para hoy: Música Francesa / 🎶🎻 Menu for today: French Music

in GEMS4 years ago

Hello dear community again, I hope you are all very well,

As I told you yesterday, today I want to bring you classical music to continue a little with what I have been writing in the morning post, classical music.

Within this category there are a lot of musicians who marked with interesting characteristics, musicians from different parts of the world.

Today I want to bring you one of them, who was born in France specifically in Paris, named Camille Saint Saens (composer, conductor and organist) considered one of the French composers who gave more power to the works of this country, along with Debussy.

The music of Saint Saens is purely romantic, where it had many timbral resources that to this day are very important characteristics of French romanticism, details such as new timbre colors (new for the time, of course), a perhaps darker harmony, and in the case of the violin, connections to the bow avoiding vibrato at first.

Today's work, "Introduction and roundabout capricious" by this composer, has many of these things integrated but above all an important detail that is that Spanish "air" coming from the important Spanish musical movement, in which it had a lot of movement at that time Thanks to the famous violinist Pablo Sarasate, to whom Saint Saens would dedicate the short piece.

To give you a little idea of this beginning, which I will interpret in the video, is to imagine a court dance. In which the music flows and the weight of the leg flows with it, so the perfect example may be that the foot falls on the ground with the weight just in the first beat of the beat, giving the music momentum. This is basically what this introduction is based on, with resounding mood swings that you will hear there.

Oh and excuse the cut at the end, my phone ran out of space and well 🤷🏽‍♂️ (I had already made several videos and this was the best)

I hope you like it dear ones, a big hug!
