¡Bienvenidos a mi blog una vez más, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo un cover de una canción que me encanta y con un par de motivos muy hermosos que me inspiraron para realizarlo:
El 20 de Mayo se celebra el cumpleaños del artista Israel Kamakawiwo’ole, quién hizo el cover de la canción que seleccioné, llamada Somewhere Over The Rainbow, así que, como estamos en Mayo, decidí hacer este vídeo en homenaje a este gran artista que lamentablemente falleció en el año 1997, pero dejó como legado, ese gran cover, que muchas personas deben haber escuchado alguna vez en su vida.
¡El descubrimiento del HIVE #OPENMIC !, sí chicos, así como lo leen, descubrí que el usuario @cabelindsay está llevando a cabo un Open Mic (Micrófono Abierto) en la plataforma y eso me hace demasiado feliz, porque me encanta que los músicos de la plataforma puedan converger en un mismo espacio y mostrar el talento, la pasión y la creatividad de cada uno.

Welcome to my blog once again, guys! Today I bring you a cover of a song I love and was made for a couple of beautiful reasons that inspired me a lot:
May 20th is the birthday of the artist Israel Kamakawiwo’ole, who did the cover of the song I selected, called Somewhere Over The Rainbow, so since it's May, I decided to do this video in honor of this great artist who sadly passed away in 1997, but left as a legacy that great cover, which many people must have heard at some point in their lives.
The discovery of HIVE #OPENMIC !, yes guys, as you read it, I discovered that the user @cabelindsay is performing an Open Mic on the platform and that makes me too happy, because I love that the musicians on the platform can converge in the same space and show the talent, passion and creativity of each one.

Decidí grabar esta canción, motivada al Open Mic en su semana número 6, pues la temática era Rainbow Warrior (Guerrero Arcoiris), entonces, la idea era cantar una canción que te viniera a la mente con esa temática y ¿qué mejor canción que este gran cover de esta leyenda de la música Hawaiana?
Israel Kamakawiwo?ole, mejor conocido como IZ, fue un artista Hawaiano nacido en Honolulu que se ganó el corazón de todas las personas que lo escuchaban en su tierra. Tiene una discografía bastante extensa y es considerado como uno de los mejores músicos nacidos en Hawaii, tanto por su voz, como su técnica de ejecución del Ukelele y sus fusiones de la música Hawaiana con Jazz y Reggae, para así poder crear su sonido característico y particular.
Lamentablemente no pude subir esta canción a tiempo para participar en el Hive Open Mic: Semana 6, pero de igual forma decidí subir el vídeo a @threespeak para que lo puedan escuchar, porque el resultado final me gustó muchísimo.
Como siempre, grabé desde la entrada de mi edificio para así respetar la cuarentena y no alejarme mucho de mi casa, siempre manteniendo las precauciones de salud para evitar contagiarme de COVID-19, espero que lo disfruten, les dejo la letra y el vídeo original como referencia:
I decided to record this song, motivated by the Open Mic in its week number 6, because the theme was Rainbow Warrior, so, the idea was to sing a song that came to your mind with that theme and what better song than this great cover of this legend of Hawaiian music?
Israel Kamakawiwo?ole, better known as IZ, was a Hawaiian artist born in Honolulu who won the hearts of all the people who listened to him in his homeland. He has a very extensive discography and is considered one of the best musicians born in Hawaii, both for his voice, his Ukulele playing technique and his fusions of Hawaiian music with Jazz and Reggae, in order to create his characteristic and particular sound.
Unfortunately I couldn't upload this song in time to participate in the Hive Open Mic: Week 6, but I also decided to upload the video to @threespeak so you can hear it, because I really liked the final result.
As always, I recorded from the lobby of my building in order to respect the quarantine and not to go too far from my house, always keeping the health precautions to avoid catching COVID-19, I hope you enjoy it, I leave you the lyrics and the original video as a reference:

I loved too much the result of this recording! It makes me geek truly happy because I can put my personal sound On it, to transform it in something awesome!
