Though the Vietnamese TET Lunar festival has been over for almost a month, I realised that I've still got so many photos of TET that I haven't posted. And these aren't just random photos that I took daily, instead these are really good photos to tell a story of the local community in Vietnam. As many of you may know, the homes in which the Vietnamese lives in are rather small. I wouldn't even call it a house as the plot of land in which is owned is just too small. Not only do they not have a car porch but there is no extra space at all. Not unless, you're wealthy and able to live in those luxury condominiums, if not these slump homes are what most people have. I apologise if I'm too direct but that is indeed the truth even in the big city like Saigon or Hanoi.
Having said that, the community support among each neighbours are pretty strong. Everyone would set low small tables & chairs outside their homes and sit there from sunrise to sunset. I don't blame them since there isn't any space to sit within their homes. If there was, it would be for them to sleep on the floor or park their motorbikes.
Which is also the main reason why the community playgrounds would be decorated during the TET festive period so that both adults & children can enjoy the outdoors together. Everyone would contribute something to decorate the playground, either with flowers, paper decorations and etc. I was indeed surprised to see how united a community can be coming together for this one occasion. Just look at the amount of effort put in to decorate this playground. Isn't it amazing 😚
They even put up an arch to signify the entrance to the payground and transformed the entire area into a mini flower garden. Small tables and chairs were placed all around so that families could enjoy the outdoors.
At the center of the playground is a flower centrepiece. Really got to give credit to the Designers of this playground. This is something that is totally out of the world. Who would have thought that a simple walk on a Sunday could bring so many surprises .. How was your Sunday 😌
It's Sunday... And it's time for another Beautiful Sunday and Sublime Sunday. So, I'm trying something new this week. Something out of the box, something different, something wild, something odd and who knows where this Sunday will lead us.
