Mi fin de año / My end of the year

in GEMS3 years ago

Regards! Yesterday the 31st did not start at all well, because when my son was jumping on his bed he split some of the wood that it has as a support underneath and I had to arm myself with glue, nails and a hammer to solve the problem very early, I was somewhat stressed and upset but at that moment Carlos one of my best friends came to my house to take me some vegan Hallacas that his husband made for me, seriously these two love me, I could not believe it I was so happy to receive such a gift, because in these times of crisis in my country it is difficult for a family member to make Hallacas but it is even more difficult for someone to be so considerate as to make a separate vegetable stew to make Hallacas to me because they know that I don't eat red meat. My friend just happened to say hello and give me the Hallacas but for me it was a beautiful gift.

In my city we are going through a very strong water crisis, in my house we really had little water, this had my mother and me discouraged because we wanted to make food and wash our hair and those things, but we did our best not to let it This will ruin our day and try to do things with what little water we have left. Later an aunt arrived so that I could cut and iron her hair, she was very pretty but she did not want to take pictures because she was wearing simple clothes because afterwards she would go to her house to bathe and get ready. Also, my aunt brought three normal Hallacas (with red meat) and two Chicken Hallacas made especially for me, you can imagine my joy, because for Christmas dinner we had cake, salad, and bread, everything was very tasty but we did not have Hallacas, on the other hand, without planning it for the end of the year dinner, we already had all those Hallacas.

My mother and I made salad and homemade bread, dinner was very tasty with the Hallacas, we were all able to bathe (that's an achievement because of the little water that is currently here) and get pretty, my son was very happy, he played a lot with her toys and it was a beautiful night. We went to bed early but woke up to the fireworks to wish us happy new year.

I hope with all my heart that the people of Venezuela and other countries do not feel down if this year was not the best, I know that many people did not have dinner and many others are in mourning, but within my joy for having had a good day I just want to share with you all the good energy that this day brought me, because the most important thing was not the food but that I felt very loved, my friends and family love me so much that they took all the trouble to come and give me something this day. I wish that each person who reads me has enjoyed her family and friends, because love is what motivates us to live. Happy New Year!
