Una noche con los amigos virtuales [ESP/ENG]

La palabra aburrimiento no existe en el vocabulario de los hivers. Si algo tiene nuestra comunidad es una capacidad infinita de generar sorpresas. Por todas partes surgen concursos e iniciativas que nos mantienen en movimiento. Hive es, sin duda, una gran red social.

The word boredom does not exist in the vocabulary of hivers. If there is one thing our community has, it is an infinite capacity to generate surprises. Contests and initiatives pop up everywhere to keep us on the move. Hive is, without a doubt, a great social network.

Esta semana recibí una agradable sorpresa. Las amigas @mafalda2018 y @marybellrg me hicieron una invitación para participar como invitado en su prestigioso programa de los viernes, Onda Positiva, en el servidor de Discord de la Comunidad Pal.

This week I received a pleasant surprise. Friends @mafalda2018 and @marybellrg extended me an invitation to participate as a guest on their prestigious Friday show, Onda Positiva, on the Pal Community Discord server.

El tema de nuestra conversación fue sobre el poder de las palabras. En un ambiente de gran camaradería conversamos sobre un tópico de especial importancia para nuestras relaciones personales y para el rumbo que le damos a la vida.

The topic of our conversation was about the power of words. In an atmosphere of great camaraderie we talked about a topic of special importance for our personal relationships and for the direction we give to life.

Como es costumbre en el programa fuimos desarrollando el tema con gran espontaneidad. Es de hacer notar, que durante toda la jornada hubo una gran participación de muchos hivers, algunos conocidos desde hace tiempo y otros que se están incorporando a la Blockchain. Aprovecho estas líneas para expresarles a todos mi gran agradecimiento por su cálida compañía.

As is customary in the program, we developed the topic with great spontaneity. It should be noted that during the whole day there was a great participation of many hivers, some of them known for a long time and others who are joining the Blockchain. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their warm company.

Fueron varios puntos los que conversamos. Uno de ellos, la importancia de prestarle mucho atención a lo que decimos. Porque si algo debemos tener presente, antes de hablar, es que una vez que soltamos las palabras, cada vez que las dejamos salir de nuestra boca, no hay forma de recogerlas. Allí quedaron sembradas en la memoria de nuestro interlocutor. Por eso es importante que dejemos salir solo aquellas palabras amables, reconfortantes y edificadoras. Así hacemos sentir bien a los otros, nos sentimos bien nosotros y el mundo comienza a ser mejor.

There were several points that we discussed. One of them, the importance of paying close attention to what we say. Because if there is one thing we must keep in mind before we speak, it is that once we let the words out of our mouths, there is no way to pick them up. There they remain sown in the memory of our interlocutor. That is why it is important that we let out only those words that are kind, comforting and edifying. In this way we make others feel good, we feel good ourselves and the world begins to be better.

Otro tema, no menos importante, fue el poder de la palabra en el proceso de creación de la realidad. Nuestro cerebro no distingue realidad de fantasía, por eso podemos emocionarnos solamente por el sencillo acto de pensar en una situación agradable o en una persona que nos guste.

Another theme, no less important, was the power of words in the process of creating reality. Our brain does not distinguish reality from fantasy, which is why we can get excited just by the simple act of thinking about a pleasant situation or a person we like.

Nuestra forma de hablar va delineando una manera de estar en el mundo. Si nos acostumbramos a usar expresiones negativas y descalificadoras probablemente desarrollemos una visión de la vida donde predomine el pesimismo.

Our way of speaking delineates a way of being in the world. If we get used to using negative and disqualifying expressions, we will probably develop a vision of life where pessimism predominates.

Si por el contrario, aprendemos a incorporar —cada vez más en nuestro vocabulario— expresiones positivas, iremos construyendo una visión optimista de la realidad. Desde la que es mucho más fácil lidiar con las dificultades, ubicar cada problema en su justa dimensión —sin magnificarlos— y encontrar alternativas donde los otros solo ven puertas cerradas.

If, on the contrary, we learn to incorporate -more and more in our vocabulary- positive expressions, we will build an optimistic vision of reality. From which it is much easier to deal with difficulties, to place each problem in its right dimension -without magnifying them- and to find alternatives where others only see closed doors.

Tomar conciencia del poder de las palabras es un asunto de mucha importancia para los que somos maestros, padres o abuelos. En las palabras que usamos con nuestros alumnos, hijos o nietos, estamos dejando importantes mensajes de vida, que pueden marcarles un camino. Lo ideal, por lo tanto, es que sean positivos, así ellos tendrán más facilidad para desarrollar proyectos de vida sobre la base de la felicidad y la plenitud. De ese modo estamos poniendo nuestro granito de arena para que las generaciones siguientes sean mejores a la nuestra.

Becoming aware of the power of words is a matter of great importance for those of us who are teachers, parents or grandparents. In the words we use with our students, children or grandchildren, we are leaving important life messages, which can mark a path for them. Ideally, therefore, they should be positive, so that they will find it easier to develop life projects based on happiness and fulfillment. In this way we are doing our bit so that the following generations will be better than ours.

Gracias a esta estupenda velada virtual, con tantos amigos amables y queridos, puedo sumar este viernes 19 de febrero a esos días especiales que alegran la vida, en verdad que disfruté mucho con la actividad.

Thanks to this wonderful virtual evening, with so many kind and dear friends, I can add this Friday, February 19, to those special days that bring joy to life, I really enjoyed the activity.
