Saludos, amigos, en el trayecto de nuestras vidas recogemos una multitud de experiencias sobre las cuáles raramente reflexionamos, pero que nos hace bien hacerlo para crecer como personas, ya que siempre guardan para nosotros una enseñanza y aprendizaje especial.
Por eso, reflexionando sobre algún evento en mi vida que me haya impactado, luego de repasar varios, he escogido el siguiente para compartirlo con ustedes.
Greetings, friends, in the course of our lives we gather a multitude of experiences about which we rarely reflect, but it does us good to do so in order to grow as people, since they always keep a special teaching and learning for us.
Therefore, reflecting on some event in my life that has impacted me, after reviewing several, I have chosen the next one to share with you.
El hecho sucedió en uno de los años de mi preparación camino al sacerdocio, que fueron 7 años de diversas experiencias que ayudaron a forjar lo que soy y hago hoy en diversas áreas de mi vida. Una de éstas fue la misión, que es el trabajo de concientización en valores y en espiritualidad dirigido a aquellas personas que poco tienen oportunidad para el mismo, debido normalmente a que viven en sitios apartados.
Pues bien, en una de estas misiones (fueron muchas, se podrán imaginar, en 7 años) me encontré con el desafío de acercarme a las personas que eran reacias, sobre todo entre los jóvenes, de recibir el mensaje que se le venía a traer.
Esto fue así, uno y otro día. No fue fácil. Pero, luego de insistir y usar técnicas adecuadas para lograr una empatía con ellos (recuerdo que jugamos unos partidos de fútbol) se logró un ambiente más receptivo y, por lo tanto, óptimo para, ahora sí, enfocarnos en el objetivo principal de nuestra misión: dejarles a los jóvenes un mensaje motivacional que les ayudara en sus
This happened in one of the years of my preparation on my way to the priesthood, which were 7 years of diverse experiences that helped to forge what I am and do today in various areas of my life. One of these was the mission, which is the work of awareness in values and spirituality directed to those people who have little opportunity for it, usually because they live in remote places.
Well, in one of these missions (there were many, you can imagine, in 7 years) I was challenged to reach out to people who were reluctant, especially among the youth, to receive the message that was coming to them.
This was so, one day at a time. It was not easy. But, after insisting and using adequate techniques to achieve empathy with them (I remember we played some soccer games) a more receptive environment was achieved and, therefore, optimal to, now focus on the main objective of our mission: to leave the youth a motivational message that would help them in their lives.

Ocurrió el milagro, todos me escucharon con una atención tal que todavía hoy estoy admirado, fue un cambio total, la apatía que me había encontrado en los primeros días se había transformado totalmente, había desaparecido para darle espacio a una receptividad admirable para cada palabra que les decía, todos asentían afirmativamente con la cabeza lo que les compartía.
Yo estaba muy emocionado, se había logrado el objetivo, hasta que al final pregunté a toda la audiencia sobre qué hacía falta para que se materializara lo que le había enseñado.
Un Joven levantó la mano y dijo: “Hacen falta personas como tú” y yo: “¿Qué?, ¿Cómo así?” “Sí, necesitamos personas que nos transmitan esa motivación que nos has dado”.
Luego de esto, la emoción que sentía, en unos instantes se esfumó. Después de la actividad, de despedirme de las personas y regresar al lugar donde me estaba quedando, no podía dejar de pensar en ello. Esto dejó varias enseñanzas en mí, que me ayudaron en mi crecimiento personal.
The miracle happened, everyone listened to me with such attention that I am still admired today, it was a total change, the apathy that I had encountered in the first days had been totally transformed, it had disappeared to give space to an admirable receptivity for every word I said to them, everyone nodded affirmatively to what I shared with them.
I was very excited, the goal had been achieved, until in the end I asked the entire audience what it would take for what I had taught them to materialize.
One young man raised his hand and said, "We need people like you," and I said, "What, like this?" "Yes, we need people who will transmit that motivation you have given us.”
After this, the emotion I felt, in a few moments, was gone. After the activity, saying goodbye to the people and returning to the place where I was staying, I couldn't stop thinking about it. This left several teachings in me, which helped me in my personal growth.

- No darme por vencido en lo que me propongo, ya que al principio de mi misión parecía difícil realmente poder encajar entre las personas, pero al final se logró.
- Buscar y valerme de todas las herramientas que estén a mi alcance para lograr mis objetivos. Tener iniciativa, ser creativo. Posiblemente si no hubiere recurrido al partido de fútbol no estaría contando esta experiencia hoy, jajaja.
- Las personas no sólo escuchan tus palabras sino todo tu ser, cómo eres. Yo me pregunté, ¿cuál era la razón primordial por la cual capté su atención? Mi respuesta fue que ellos se sintieron comprendidos, en familia, y así las cosas funcionan mejor.
- Trabajar continuamente en mi madurez personal, en las diversas áreas donde tenga las capacidades, pues, se necesitan personas capacitadas que ayuden a otros en diversos aspectos.
A veces nos quejamos del mal que hay en el mundo (corrupción, guerras, contrabandos, drogas, etc.) pero ¿qué hacemos para que esto cambie?, ¿cuál es nuestro pequeño aporte?
El escándalo más fuerte de la existencia del mal no es éste en sí sino que lo que podemos hacer el bien, nos quedamos con las brazos cruzados.

- To seek and use all the tools within my reach to achieve my goals. To have initiative, to be creative. Maybe if I hadn't gone to the soccer game I wouldn't be telling this experience today, hahaha.
- People not only listen to your words but to your whole being, how you are. I asked myself, what was the main reason why I captured their attention? My answer was that they felt understood, as a family, and that's how things work best.
- To continually work on my personal maturity, in the various areas where I have the abilities, because you need trained people who help others in various aspects.
Sometimes we complain about the evil in the world (corruption, wars, smuggling, drugs, etc.) but what do we do to change this, what is our small contribution?
The strongest scandal of the existence of evil is not this in itself but what we can do good we remain with our arms crossed.
