Pues este post está dedicado a los amantes viajeros. Les cuento que hace años atrás, viajé a Madrid, París y Roma. Esto fue en mi luna de miel. Yo estaba muy emocionada en conocer estos países porque me encanta Europa. Para mi fue un sueño hecho realidad. Todo comenzó en un vuelo directo de Caracas a Madrid. Nueve horas en avión, pasando de un continente a otro. Sólo imaginarme qué podría pasar o si el avión tuviera algún desperfecto. Y para colmo, el vuelo tuvo retraso porque uno de los aviones tenía falla. La verdad estaba muy nerviosa.

Well, this post is dedicated to travel lovers. I tell you that years ago, I traveled to Madrid, Paris and Rome. This was on my honeymoon. I was very excited to visit these countries because I love Europe. For me it was a dream come true. It all started on a direct flight from Caracas to Madrid. Nine hours on a plane, going from one continent to another. Just imagining what could happen or if the plane had a malfunction. And to top it all off, the flight was delayed because one of the planes had a failure. I was really nervous.

Llegamos a Madrid, España. ¡Qué maravilla de aeropuerto es Barajas! Nos hospedamos en un apartamento de lo más lindo. Luego salimos a comer a El Mundo del Jamón. Se los recomiendo, ya que es muy sabroso y económico. Siempre está abierto. Recuerdo que en las noches venden tapas y cañas super económicas. Les sugiero que para bajar costos utilicen transporte público, los taxis son muy costosos. El sistema de trenes y metro funciona de lo mejor. Es rápido, limpio y cómodo.
We arrived in Madrid, Spain. What a wonderful airport Barajas is! We stayed in a very nice apartment. Then we went out to eat at El Mundo del Jamón. I highly recommend it, as it is very tasty and inexpensive. It is always open. I remember that in the evenings they sell super cheap tapas and cañas. I suggest that to lower costs use public transportation, taxicabs are very expensive. The train and subway system works the best. It is fast, clean and comfortable.

Ese mismo día fuimos a Toledo. Debo decir que quedé fascinada. Toledo es el tercer municipio más poblado de la región. Ellos se dedican al sector servicio y aún conservan sus tradiciones en la fabricación de espadas. Para llegar allí tomamos un autobús desde el Intercambiador de la Plaza Elíptica. Líneas 11 y 6 del metro.

Al día siguiente teníamos un vuelo a París, la ciudad del amor y el glamour como le digo yo, jajajaja. Muchos turistas, diferentes culturas en una misma ciudad muy nocturna. París tiene un paisaje urbano del siglo XIX. A todo lo largo del río Sena se aprecian caminerías donde puedes pasear y además tienes la opción de montarte en unos botes turísticos y navegar a la luz de la luna, todo muy romántico. Lo más fabuloso es la Torre Eiffel, una obra maestra de ingeniería. Su construcción sólo tomó dos años (1887 - 1889). Tiempo récord para tan majestuosa obra, que es todo un espectáculo verla en la noche alumbrada. Subir a la torre y ver el atardecer es hermoso.
The next day we had a flight to Paris, the city of love and glamour as I call it, hahahaha. Many tourists, different cultures in the same very nocturnal city. Paris has a 19th century cityscape. All along the Seine River there are walkways where you can stroll and also have the option to ride on tourist boats and sail in the moonlight, all very romantic. The most fabulous thing is the Eiffel Tower, a masterpiece of engineering. It took only two years to build (1887 - 1889). Record time for such a majestic work, which is a spectacle to see it lit up at night. Climbing the tower and watching the sunset is beautiful.

Lo que me llamó muchísimo la atención fueron sus restaurantes. Porque las mesas estaban afuera, como en las películas. Debo confesar que la comida es deliciosa pero muy costosa. Para ese momento una cena costaba unos 26 euros y era lo más económico jajajaaj. Terminamos comiendo comida callejera crepes & paninis. Disfrutamos mucho este viaje. Aunque no fue todo de lujo, para mi era un sueño, solo estar ahí en ese lugar tan hermoso con la persona indicada.
What really caught my attention were the restaurants. Because the tables were outside, like in the movies. I must confess that the food is delicious but very expensive. By that time a dinner cost about 26 euros and it was the cheapest thing hahahahahah. We ended up eating street food crepes & paninis. We really enjoyed this trip. Después de visitar París y sus lugares turísticos durante seis días nos fuimos a Roma, la ciudad de la pasta y el helado. Roma es una ciudad caótica y antigua donde se encuentran bienes históricos y arquitectónicos. Pude notar que su gente es muy familiar y cálida.
No podía faltar la visita a la arquitectura de la antigua Roma: El Coliseo. Para ese entonces cumplía la función de un anfiteatro para el imperio romano. Donde los espectáculos eran peleas de gladiadores, peleas de fieras o ejecuciones de prisioneros por fieras. Esto era lo que decían los guías turísticos en el lugar.
After visiting Paris and its tourist sites for six days we went to Rome, the city of pasta and gelato. Rome is a chaotic and ancient city where you can find historical and architectural assets. I could notice that its people are very familiar and warm.

La gastronomía italiana es muy variada y deliciosa. Amo con locura una buena pasta. La comida es económica sobre todo la pizza. Roma tiene muchos lugares turísticos que no puedes dejar de visitar. Incluso la ciudad del Vaticano y la Capilla Sixtina, donde se encuentra la obra de arte de Miguel Angel, “La Bóveda de la Capilla Sixtina” que es un conjunto de pinturas al fresco.
Italian cuisine is very varied and delicious. I love a good pasta. The food is cheap especially the pizza. Rome has many tourist places that you can't miss. Even the Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel, where you can find Michelangelo's work of art, "The Vault of the Sistine Chapel" which is a set of fresco paintings.

Para finalizar, ir de viaje es lo más placentero que se puede hacer. Conocer nuevos lugares, culturas y gastronomía, para mí no tiene precio. Es como dice el dicho: “viajar, comer y vivir es lo que uno se lleva al morir". Así que mis queridos lectores a disfrutar cada instante de su vida.
