Espero que se encuentren muy bien. Hoy quisiera contarles sobre una nueva experiencia que viví junto a unos amigos el pasado fin de semana.
Como leyeron al principio hace unos días asistí junto a unos amigos a un concurso de belleza escolar que se organiza cada año en la ciudad donde vivo, el concurso pertenece a una institución educativa privada y ya se ha vuelto tan popular y cotidiano que es casi parte de la cultura de nuestra ciudad.

I hope you are doing well. Today I would like to tell you about a new experience I had with some friends last weekend.
As you read at the beginning a few days ago I attended with some friends to a school beauty contest that is organized every year in the city where I live, the contest belongs to a private educational institution and has already become so popular and everyday that it is almost part of the culture of our city.
Unos de mis amigos forma parte de la organización del evento que cuenta con distinguidos patrocinantes muy conocidos en la ciudad. Gracias a esto mi amigo nos invitó a mi y a otra amiga para que asistiésemos a esta gala que sería la presentación oficial de las chicas a la prensa y medios locales.
Por ser parte de la organización del evento nuestro amigo nos advirtió que sería una noche llena de mucho entretenimiento pues habrían actos culturales, principalmente bailes, que harían que el evento fuese más que un concurso de belleza y se tratara más bien de un evento para el disfrute y la san competencia, promoviendo la imagen real y genuina de las chicas participantes.
One of my friends is part of the organization of the event that has distinguished sponsors well known in the city. Thanks to this my friend invited me and another friend to attend this gala that would be the official presentation of the girls to the local press and media.
Being part of the organization of the event our friend warned us that it would be a night full of entertainment because there would be cultural acts, mainly dances, which would make the event more than a beauty contest and it would be more of an event for enjoyment and healthy competition, promoting the real and genuine image of the participating girls.
Lo que nuestro amigo nos contó en realidad se quedó corto pues el evento fue todo un espectáculo lleno de mucho entretenimiento del sano, hubo risas, baile, música e incluso comida, todo lo necesario para pasarla bien. En cuanto a las participantes se nota la buena preparación que tuvieron ya que todo estuvo enfocado en lo que llaman “una belleza integral” que resalta la belleza física y valora mucho más los atributos intangibles de una mujer.
What our friend told us actually fell short because the event was a whole show full of healthy entertainment, there was laughter, dancing, music and even food, everything you need to have a good time. As for the participants, you can see how well prepared they were because everything was focused on what they call "an integral beauty" that highlights the physical beauty and values much more the intangible attributes of a woman.
Todas las chicas fueron muy carismáticas y al hablar se pudo notar lo inteligente y elocuentes que son cada una además de la buena química que se notaba en el escenario. Las presentaciones de danza por otro lado fueron cada una más increíble que la otra y dejaron al público (incluyéndome) con ganas de más. Mis amigos y yo disfrutamos del evento de principio a fin y nos sorprendimos para bien de la calidad de este.
Al final de la noche a algunas participantes les asignaron bandas, es decir, fueron las ganadoras de la noche y al mismo tiempo todas fueron conscientes de que debían prepararse más para la noche final que según supe está muy cerca. Si lo que vimos fue solo un abrebocas no me quiero imaginar la calidad de espectáculo que podremos disfrutar en la noche final.
All the girls were very charismatic and when speaking you could notice how intelligent and eloquent each one of them is, besides the good chemistry that was noticeable on stage. The dance performances on the other hand were each more amazing than the other and left the audience (including me) wanting more. My friends and I enjoyed the event from start to finish and were surprised by the quality of the event.
At the end of the night some participants were assigned bands, that is, they were the winners of the night and at the same time they were all aware that they should prepare more for the final night which I learned is very close. If what we saw was just a taste, I can't imagine the quality of the show we will be able to enjoy on the final night.
Las expectativas están muy altas y yo estaré ahí para descubrir si todo estará al mismo nivel, igualmente me siento contento de poder disfrutar de este tipo de eventos que nos permiten desestresarnos y olvidarnos del mundo al menos por unas horas. Espero que les guste lo que ven y leen y que puedan conocer cuál será el resultado final de este concurso pequeño y modesto pero al mismo tiempo poderoso en cuanto a los mensajes que nos enseña.

Expectations are very high and I will be there to find out if everything will be at the same level, but I am happy to be able to enjoy this kind of events that allow us to de-stress and forget about the world at least for a few hours. I hope you like what you see and read and that you can find out what will be the final result of this small and modest contest but at the same time powerful in terms of the messages it teaches us.

Hola. Me alegro que hayas asistido a esa actividad, es bueno realizar nuevas cosas y conocer nuevos sitios. Nunca he asistido a un evento de este tipo pero si me gustaría.
