DETRÁS DEL LORO
Allá van sin saber
a dónde llegarán
tendrán que soportar
lo que no han de entender.
Y que siguiendo a un loro
que se escapó en la mañana
y ese loro con maña
voló hasta la cabaña.
El lorito se escondió
en la mata de tamarindo
camuflado como pudo
la mañana de un domingo.
Los muchachos despistados
llegaron a un matorral
cansados de caminar
decidieron descansar.
El lorito estaba alerta
veía para todos lados
por si acaso los muchachos
se acercan demasiado.
Así termina la historia
los muchachos se fueron
y el loro en el tamarindo
escapó de aquel anzuelo.
BEHIND THE PARROT
There they go, not knowing
where they'll end up,
they'll have to endure
what they won't understand.
And so, following a parrot
that escaped in the morning,
and that clever parrot
flew to the cabin.
The little parrot hid
in the tamarind bush,
camouflaged as best it could
on a Sunday morning.
The clueless boys
arrived at a thicket,
tired from walking
they decided to rest.
The little parrot was alert,
looking all around
just in case the boys
came too close.
That's how the story ends:
the boys left,
and the parrot in the tamarind tree
escaped that trap.
