Hola Hivers.

Hello Hivers. I hope you are having good days. I, for one, have had several electrical service failures, in addition to other things that have kept me busy and I have not been able to post as I would like. On the other hand, today I want to tell you that I made my first Crop Top fabric **and I loved the result! I had already woven small decorative rugs before but I had not dared to make a big piece.

To begin with, I used a yarn I had at home that belonged to my grandmother. She was knitting a rug that she never finished and gave it to me so I could make my crop top. It all started because my ex-mother-in-law started telling me that she was knitting a crop top and I told her to show me that I could knit too and that she even encouraged me. And that's how she motivated me to start this piece.

You start first with the glasses, you have to knit them each one separately, the truth is nothing complicated and a person who has not knitted could never do it watching the video I will leave you at the end. The size of the cups will depend on the size of your bust. To do this, you will measure with a tape measure from the base of your breast to the nipple and this will be the size of the initial chain. With this VIDEO you can guide yourself. In the photo above, you can see my beginnings in my first elaborate fabric.

Please note that the two cups must be the same size and measure, and this will depend on the number of chains and the number of turns, in the video you can see this better. In the previous photos, I show my realization of the cups and the union of them.

After finishing the two cups, it is joined in the center with a 6 to 7 cm fabric and after this it starts to embroider the 2 bands of the back, its width and length will also depend on the size of the cup and the width of your back, likewise in the video they explain this very well.

Then, I knitted the fans on the bottom of the crop top as part of the decoration of the piece, this part took me a little longer, because it is a little more elaborate. But it was definitely my favorite part of the weaving.

After this, I started to weave the chest part, which was super simple and didn't take long to make, because my piece was bigger than the original video, I had to enlarge it everywhere, to keep the dimensions, so in this part I also added more rows, to fit my chest and my size.

Finally, I made the straps to hold the crop top to the neck and back with 150 simple chains each, these I made to my measure, since in the video they do not explain how to make them. I also added a touch to my style, placing at the tip of the back strips 2 dark blue wood nuggets.
