Hello, dear friends in the hive, today I will share with you a Bulgarian custom on the occasion of the feast of all namesakes - Jordan Day, also called Epiphany. This year I participated again but this time with a charitable cause. As some of you may remember at Christmas I did a charity campaign to help the most needy households and people in my village by donating the collected value of my posts on the Hive network for the last two months. EN:When I visited these extremely needy people, I found out that one of them is a bedridden invalid who lives in extremely difficult conditions, as the same person has had no electricity and water since 2015. That's why I decided to appeal to the community in the town where I live, the participants in the ritual of removing the cross from the waters of the river Rositsa, to donate some money to help this person as the most urgent problem so that we can restore electricity and water supply to his HOME. ESP: Cuando visité a estas personas extremadamente necesitadas, descubrí que uno de ellos es un inválido postrado en cama que vive en condiciones extremadamente difíciles, ya que la misma persona no tiene electricidad ni agua desde 2015. Es por eso que decidí hacer un llamado a la comunidad del pueblo donde vivo, los participantes en el ritual de sacar la cruz de las aguas del río Rositsa, para que donen algo de dinero para ayudar a esta persona como el problema más urgente para que podamos restaurar el suministro de agua y electricidad a su casa. BG :Когато посетих тези крайно нуждаещи се хора разбрах че един от тях е инвалид на легло който живее в крайно тежки условия като същият човек няма ток и вода от 2015 година. Затова аз реших да апелирам общността в населеното място в което живея, участниците в ритуала за ваденето на кръста от водите на река Росица да дарят някакви парични средства за подпомагането на този човек като най-на лежащ проблем за да можем да възстановим електричеството и водоподаването към неговия дом.

During the charity Christmas campaign organized by several young people from Resen to help the needy of the village with food and clothes, Veselin witnessed the shocking scene in the home of Atanas Sirakov. For unpaid bills in the amount of about BGN 300, the family is deprived of basic necessities such as hot food and hot water for the sick person's hygienic needs. Whatever the reasons for the plight, no human being deserves such a life and existence. Vesco appeals to all people who are not indifferent to human tragedies to show compassion and nobility and support his initiative. There are other people in need in the village, and in the event that more than the necessary 300 BGN is collected for this particular case, all funds will be directed to other needy people. The idea is for this to be a continuing cause and a commitment has already been made from another volunteer to another in need of urgent bathroom repairs that are in danger of collapsing. That's why the young people will leave a box for donations in the Club of the pensioner in the village of Resen and ask for assistance, including businesses to help with donations or with building materials on a list.

Con una procesión lítica y una fiesta festiva del agua, los habitantes del pueblo honran la festividad y, como dicta la costumbre, la cruz se arroja a las frías aguas del río y decenas de hombres saltan a recuperarla en busca de salud, fuerza y fertilidad. Uno de los participantes en la carrera por el crucifijo de este año ha venido con una misión más especial. Един от участниците в надпреварата за разпятието тази година е дошъл с по-специална мисия. Веселин Койчев посвещава своето участие на благородна и добродетелна кауза, която има своята предистория. Своята паричната награда, осигурена от Кметство с.Ресен за всеки участник в ритуала по вадене на кръста, Веселин ще дари за подпомагане на жител на селото, намиращ се в крайна нужда.
