Attending my first wedding
Hola queridos lectores, espero que todos se encuentren bien. Hace unas semanas se casó una amiga muy querida y por primera vez en la vida asistí a una boda y más afortunada aún, como dama de honor. Siendo sincera siempre quise saber qué se sentía asistir a una boda, mis compañeros y conocidos siempre me describían la experiencia, pero no es lo mismo que vivirlo en carne propia. Nunca esperé ser una de las damas de honor en la primera boda a la que asistiera, para mí eso era mucho pedir, pero así sucedió. Fue una experiencia difícil de describir, fue extrañamente estresante debido a que hubieron muchos cambios a último minuto y no se hizo ni la mitad de lo que se tenía planeado.
Hello dear readers, I hope you are all well. A few weeks ago a very dear friend of mine got married and for the first time in my life I attended a wedding and even luckier, as a bridesmaid. To be honest I always wanted to know what it was like to attend a wedding, my colleagues and acquaintances always described the experience to me, but it is not the same as experiencing it first hand. I never expected to be one of the bridesmaids at the first wedding I attended, for me that was too much to ask, but it happened. It was a hard experience to describe, it was strangely stressful because there were so many last minute changes and not half of what was planned didn't get done.
Pero para mí lo más importante es que la novia estuviera feliz y al final eso fue lo que se logró, fue una boda sencilla pero agradable. Éramos 4 damas, pero desafortunadamente no se pusieron de acuerdo todas al momento de vestirnos y solo mi prima y yo fuimos con vestidos iguales, alguno que otro problema fue surgiendo, sobre todo que la fecha se adelantó demasiado y tuvimos muy poco tiempo para organizar todo, pero lo importante es que se casaran y tuvieran un fiesta agradable.
But for me the most important thing is that the bride was happy and in the end that is what was achieved, it was a simple but nice wedding. We were 4 bridesmaids, but unfortunately not all of them agreed on the dresses and only my cousin and I went with the same dresses, some other problems arose, especially that the date was too early and we had very little time to organize everything, but the important thing is that they got married and had a nice party.
Fue una ocasión muy bonita, con pocas personas pero lo más importante fue que los novios pudieron casarse y disfrutar, bailaron, leyeron sus votos para los invitados que no pudieron asistir a la firma del certificado de matrimonio, comieron y se tomaron muchas fotos, aún con poco tiempo se logró hacer una fiesta decente. En cuanto a la comida, mi parte favorita, literalmente me comí casi todo, estaba puros adultos y una sola niña, entre ella y yo nos acabamos las frituras que estaban en la mesa, habían trufas, pepito, refresco y otras cosas, incluso me tomé una copita de vino, que estaba muy rico.
It was a very nice occasion, with few people but the most important thing was that the bride and groom were able to get married and enjoy themselves, they danced, read their vows for the guests who could not attend the signing of the marriage certificate, ate and took many pictures, even with little time we managed to make a decent party. As for the food, my favorite part, I literally ate almost everything, there were only adults and one girl, between her and me we finished the fried food that was on the table, there were truffles, pepito, soda and other things, I even had a glass of wine, which was very tasty.
Al finalizar, picaron la torta, no tengo fotos de eso porque la verdad lo menos que hice fue tomar fotos, intenté ayudar en lo que pude y no usé mucho el teléfono hasta el final que fue que me digne a tomarme unas fotos yo, que por cierto, estaba hermosa ese día o así me sentí. La torta estaba deliciosa, era dorada y tenía decoraciones con flores rojas, era de chocolate, me comí dos pedazos. Como dije, al final, después de que todos se fueron fue que nos tomamos fotos con la novia y una que otra yo. Por aquí les dejo algunas.
At the end, they cut the cake, I have no pictures of it because the truth is that the least I did was to take pictures, I tried to help as much as I could and I did not use the phone much until the end when I deigned to take some pictures of myself, which by the way, I was beautiful that day or so I felt. The cake was delicious, it was golden and had decorations with red flowers, it was chocolate, I ate two pieces. As I said, at the end, after everyone left, we took pictures with the bride and one or the other me. Here are some of them.
