¿Somos dignos de confianza?

La confianza, se trata de confiar en otros, creer que son honrados y sinceros y que no harán nada con la intención de herirnos. La confianza en la mayoría de los casos suele desarrollarse muy lentamente, pero se derrumba en un instante. Esto hace que muchas personas se sientan traicionadas, dado estos hechos, ¿nos sorprende que las personas se muestren reacias a confiar en otros?
Trust is about trusting others, believing that they are honest and sincere and that they will not do anything with the intention of hurting us. Trust in most cases usually develops very slowly, but it fall apart in an instant. This makes many people feel betrayed. Given these facts, is it any wonder that people are reluctant to trust others?
Cada día resulta más difícil conseguir personas en las que podamos confiar, lastimosamente necesitamos a alguien con el cual compartir nuestras alegrías, tristezas, triunfos, fracasos, entre otras cosas. A esa persona a la que le desnudamos nuestro corazón y le confesamos nuestros secretos más recónditos.
Every day it is more difficult to find people we can trust, unfortunately we need someone with whom to share our joys, sorrows, triumphs, failures, among other things. That person to whom we bare our hearts and confess our innermost secrets.
Siendo honestos, tenemos que reconocer que todos en algún momento de nuestra vida, hemos defraudado a alguien que confió en nosotros. Es algo en lo que debemos meditar y aprender la lección, así nos esforzaremos por mejorar y lograr ser personas dignas de confianza.
To be honest, we have to admit that all of us, at some point in our lives, we have let down someone who trusted us. It is something we should meditate on and learn the lesson, so we will strive to improve and become trustworthy people.
La persona confiable siempre se esfuerza por decir la verdad, por eso no adapta sus palabras dependiendo de quién la escuche con el propósito de obtener ventaja personal. Cuando se compromete a hacer algo, procura por todos los medios cumplir con su palabra.
A trustworthy person always strives to tell the truth, that is why he doesn't adapt his words depending on who listens to him with the purpose of obtaining personal advantage. When he commits himself to do something, he tries by all means to keep his word.
El proceder más sabio nos indica que en vez de desconfiar de todos, más bien debemos, ser selectivos a la hora de escoger en quien vamos a depositar nuestra confianza, al mismo tiempo que vamos haciéndolo de manera gradual. También pensemos si nosotros mismos somos confiables.
The wisest course of action indicates that instead of distrusting everyone, we should rather be selective in choosing in whom we are going to place our trust, while doing so gradually. Let us also think about whether we really are trustworthy.
Que bonito y gratificante es contar con personas sinceras que nos amen con sinceridad, con esas personas con las que nos sentimos cómodos y le podemos decir cualquier cosa sin luego siquiera imaginar que pueden revelar nuestros secretos a terceros.
How nice and rewarding it is to have sincere people who love us sincerely, with those people with whom we feel comfortable and we can tell them anything without even imagining that they can reveal our secrets to third parties.
El mundo necesita mucho de personas francas, transparentes sin malas intenciones, que sean merecedoras de dar y recibir a cambio esa virtud tan hermosa como es la confianza.
The world is in great need of frank, transparent people with no bad intentions, who are worthy of giving and receiving in return such a beautiful virtue as trust.
Deseo que la vida nos recompense con regalarnos esos seres maravillosos en los cuales podamos confiar plenamente y así sentirnos seguros, bendecidos y privilegiados.
I wish that life rewards us with the gift of those wonderful beings in whom we can fully trust and thus feel safe, blessed and privileged.
