Greetings hive friends, I hope you are very well, today I come to tell you about my experience of a dental process that is carried out on my son and is called mummification. On other occasions on my blog I have commented that I have taken my son several times to the dentist to make repairs on his teeth since he has presented pain. In addition to this, it has been presented to him that the treatments and repairs that have been carried out have been lost since the porcelain or amalgam that has been placed falls off.
Como madre eso me ha tenido preocupada ya que en un tiempo de año y medio ya lo he llevado como 9 veces al odontólogo; cuando no es una cosa es otra. Lo cierto es que hace aproximadamente un mes atrás, comenzó con un dolor fuerte en una de las muelas que ya se le había arreglado; cuando lo reviso me doy cuenta que se le había desprendido la amalgama. Este material me había indicado la doctora si no se desprendería; pero en el caso de mi niño no fue así.

The truth is that about a month ago, he started with severe pain in one of his teeth that had already been fixed; when I check it I realize that the amalgam had come off. This material the doctor had indicated to me if it would not come off; but in the case of my child it was not like that
Me tocaba llevarlo de nuevo al odontólogo y la doctora me dice; hay que momificar la muela, no sabía de qué me hablaba; y ella me explico que era matar el nervio. Guao me puse nerviosa y dije dentro de mí no voy a poner a mi hijo a pasar por ese dolor; ya que siempre había escuchado que para matar el nervio era un dolor muy grande. Lo cierto es que la doctora comenzó la explicación detallada de que era la momificación.
I had to take him back to the dentist and the doctor told me; you have to mummify the tooth, I didn't know what he was talking about; and she explained to me that it was to kill the nerve. Wow I got nervous and said inside of me I'm not going to put my son through that pain; since I had always heard that to kill the nerve was a very great pain. The truth is that the doctor began the detailed explanation that it was mummification.
Ella me indico que ese procedimiento ya no se realiza así; y que eso se realizaba ahora de manera diferente y era en tres secciones; La primera sección , limpiaron la muela y quitaron cualquier residuo y lo que tenía dañado de la muela, después colocaron como una cremita y luego sellaron. Esa cremita comenzaría a secar el nervio poco a poco. Esa noche mi niño la paso muy mal ya que el dolor era fuerte que ni diclofenac le calmaba su dolor, me sentí desesperada porque ya no sabía cómo aliviar ese malestar a mi pequeño. Coloque compresas frías y eso le alivio hasta que se quedó dormido.

That cream would start to dry out the nerve little by little. That night my child had a very bad time since the pain was so bad that not even diclofenac relieved his pain, I felt desperate because I no longer knew how to alleviate that discomfort to my little one. Put cold compresses and it relieves him until he fell asleep.
Volvimos la siguiente semana como me había indicado la doctora; esta vez para quitar lo que le habían colocado y volver a realizar el mismo procedimiento anterior, donde limpiaron y volvieron a colocar el medicamento o cremita que iba a permitir que se matara el nervio. En esta segunda sesión ya no presento ese dolor que había presentado; eso me indicaba que estaba haciendo efecto lo que se le estaba haciendo.
We returned the following week as the doctor had instructed me; this time to remove what had been placed and to perform the same previous procedure, where they cleaned and replaced the medicine or cream that was going to allow the nerve to be killed. In this second session I no longer present that pain that I had presented; that indicated to me that what was being done was having an effect.
Hoy fue su última sesión donde volvieron a quitar lo que tenía, realizando limpieza y ahora si le sellaron por completo su muela y volvieron a colocar amalgama. Es un tratamiento que decidí realizar a mi hijo ya que a pesar de que su muela no es permanente; aun no tiene la edad para extraer y hay que llevarlo hasta que por lo menos tenga 10 años y poder extraer. Ya que si se le extrae antes de tiempo puede que sus dientes se amontonen todos. Gracias a dios ya culmino este tratamiento y también doy gracias a que es un niño muy colaborador y no le tiene miedo al odontólogo como su mamà, jajaja.
Today was his last session where they removed what he had again, cleaning and now if his tooth was completely sealed and amalgam was placed again. It is a treatment that I decided to carry out on my son because even though his tooth is not permanent; He is not yet old enough to extract and must be carried until he is at least 10 years old and able to extract. Because if it is extracted prematurely, your teeth may all get crowded. Thank God I have finished this treatment and I am also grateful that he is a very collaborative child and is not afraid of the dentist like his mother, hahaha.
Todo esto que me ha pasado con mi hijo, me ha llevado a pensar que voy a realizar unos exámenes de calcio, ya que él ha presentado muchos problemas con sus dientes. Lo cierto de todo es que debemos estar muy pendientes de la salud bucal de nuestros hijos; llevaros a su odontólogo para su chequeo y tengan una salud bucal.
All this that has happened to me with my son, has led me to think that I am going to do some calcium tests, since he has had many problems with his teeth. The truth of all is that we must be very aware of the oral health of our children; take you to your dentist for your checkup and have an oral health.
