Since I learned to read, I started my life in the beautiful world of books. When I open the pages, I dive deep and connect with the magic that inspires the writer, breaking the chains of time and space.
Reading a book is for me something priceless because every moment I have it in my hands helps me to enlarge my soul.
As Jorge Luis Borges said:
Desde que aprendí a leer, inicié mi vida por el bello mundo de los libros. Al abrir las páginas me sumerjo en lo más profundo y conecto con la magia que inspiró al escritor, rompiendo con las cadenas del tiempo y el espacio.
Leer un libro es para mí algo que no tiene precio, ya que cada instante que lo tengo en mis manos me ayuda a engrandecer mi alma.

I like to enjoy the writing, the scenery and the characters and for this reason I prefer to read slowly, unless I want to know the ending and this has often happened to me when I am desperate to know who is the murderer or if the main characters are going to stay together. But then I pick up where I left off and go back to enjoying it.
Me gustas disfrutar de la lectura, del paisaje y de los personajes. Es por esta razón que prefiero leer lento, a menos que desee saber el final y esto muchas veces me ha sucedido cuando estoy desesperada por saber quién es el asesino o si van a quedar juntos los protagonistas, pero luego reinicio la lectura donde la dejé y me devuelvo a disfrutarlo.
As to whether I started reading out of function or obligation, I don't remember it being either of the two. I did read my first book when I was nine years old, it was a gift from my aunt Aura. It took me a long time to read it but I managed to do it, even though it was difficult and my mother had to explain to me the parts I did not understand. This is one of my favorites, I remember it with nostalgia, it is called "Platero y Yo" by Juan Ramón Jiménez. I will never forget my little donkey Platero and his story.
I love reading, since I started I have not stopped. Even my textbooks. When I was studying I enjoyed them and didn't feel obligated.
I don't enjoy horror or suspense, I prefer other types of reading.
Referente a si comencé a leer por función u obligación, no recuerdo que fuera ninguna de las dos opciones. Mi primer libro lo leí a los nueve años, me lo regaló mi tía Aura. Tardé tiempo en su lectura pero lo logré, aun cuando se me hizo difícil y mi madre me explicaba las partes que yo no entendía. Este es uno de mis preferidos, lo recuerdo con nostalgia, se llama “Platero y Yo” de Juan Ramón Jiménez. No podré olvidar a mi burrito Platero y su historia.
Amo leer, desde que comencé no he parado. Hasta mis libros de texto cuando estudiaba los disfrutaba y no me sentía obligada.
No disfruto del terror ni de suspenso, prefiero otro tipo de lectura.

As for whether I like physical or digital books, I will tell you that I love to touch a book and smell it while I read it; it is an extraordinary sensation, for me it does not compare with anything. If I accompany it with a cup of good coffee it is even better.
I also read digital books, but I prefer them in physical format.
En cuanto a si soy de libros en físico o en Digital, te diré que me fascina tocar un libro y olerlo mientras lo leo, es una sensación extraordinaria, para mí no se compara con nada. Si lo acompaño con una taza de un buen café es mucho mejor.
También leo libros digitales, sin embargo los prefiero en físico.

Friend @cami.rojas most of the time I wake up enjoying a book. My biggest thrill is reading. I immerse myself in the world of the book and after I get to know the characters I don't want to separate from them.
I almost always wake up when I have a good book in my hands. Sleep is completely taken away from me, and I try to read the last page.
Amiga @cami.rojas la mayoría de las veces me desvelo disfrutando de un libro. Mi mayor emoción es la lectura. Me sumerjo en el mundo del libro y después que conozco los personajes ya no quiero separarme de ellos.
Casi siempre me desvelo cuando tengo en mis manos un buen libro. El sueño se me quita por completo, e intento leer la última página.
In reference to quotes, I generally don't take them unless I get a special phrase.
En referencia a las citas, generalmente no las tomo a menos que consiga una frase especial.
I have controversies, annoyances and grudges with writers that after making a book something so special, and at the end their brains melt as we Venezuelans say, and they do something unexpected that for me does not give results. I have many cases of these gentlemen that I have come to hate at the time:
Maria by Jorge Isaac, was one of the books I read as a teenager and I cried too much, more than a week. I still can't understand what it took for him to leave Maria alive one day to say goodbye to Ephraim. It doesn't make sense.
Miguel Otero Silva in Fiebre; I didn't like the twist he gave to the ending. I apologize, but for me the death of Vidal Rojas was not necessary, he struggled to survive.

Tengo controversias, molestias y rencores con escritores que después de hacer de un libro algo tan especial, al final se les funde el cerebro como decimos los venezolanos, y hacen algo inesperado que para mí no da resultados. Tengo muchos casos de estos señores que he llegado a odiar en su momento:
María de Jorge Isaac, fue uno de los libros que leí siendo adolescente y lloré demasiado, más de una semana. Es que todavía no logro entender qué le costó dejar viva a María un día para despedirse de Efraín. Esto no tiene sentido.
Miguel Otero Silva en Fiebre; no me gustó el giro que le dio al final. Pido disculpa, pero para mí la muerte de Vidal Rojas no era necesaria, luchó por sobrevivir.
As for the books I prefer, I'll tell you that I read everything I can get my hands on. However, if I have to choose, I would go for novels. And if I am interested in a subject I can look for information in scientific books.
En cuanto a los libros que prefiero, te diré que leo todo lo que llega a mis manos. Sin embargo, si tengo que elegir, me decidiría por novelas. Y si me interesa un tema puedo buscar información en libros científicos.
Finally, I always read something that catches my attention, and if by chance I don't like it, I always finish it.
Finalmente siempre leo algo que me llama la atención, y si por casualidad no llega a gustarme igualmente siempre lo termino.
