Como amante del reciclaje no podía dejar de participar en este concurso de Reciclaje Creativo que nos propone @jennyzer, esta vez en su #round10, especial del Día de las Madres. He visto increíbles entradas y quiero compartir lo que hice en esta oportunidad, un lindo cuadro decorativo.
As a recycling lover, I couldn't stop participating in this Creative Recycling contest that @jennyzer proposes, this time in his #round10, Mother's Day special. I have seen incredible tickets and I want to share what I did this time, a nice decorative painting.
Para este proyecto utilicé varias cosas que tenía en casa, comenzando con la tapa de una caja de cartón y el cartón de huevos. Estos fueron los elementos básicos además de las pinturas, tijeras, papel crepé, y otros materiales necesarios.
For this project I used several things that I had at home, starting with the lid of a cardboard box and the egg carton. These were the basic items in addition to the paints, scissors, crepe paper, and other necessary supplies.
Comencé por cubrir los lados de la tapa de cartón ya que estaba en mal estado, lo hice con papel crepé que es fácil de trabajar y lo tenia en tiras irregulares ya que era el residuo de otro proyecto.
I started by covering the sides of the cardboard cover since it was in bad condition, I did it with crepe paper that is easy to work with and I had it in irregular strips since it was the residue of another draft.
Después de cubrir muy bien todos los bordes, pegue en el interior una hoja de reciclaje para cubrir el color amarillo fuerte del fondo.
After covering all the edges very well, glue a recycling sheet inside to cover the bright yellow background.
Y usé foami para cubrir los bordes que aun se veían, abajo coloque marrón para simular la tierra y rosado con escarcha para los laterales. Pegue y dejar secar.
And I used foami to cover the edges that were still visible, below I put brown to simulate earth and pink with frost for the sides. Paste and let dry.
Mientras la base se seca, cortaremos el cartón de huevos para hacer unas flores. Lo primero es cortar los hoyos y separarlos, con las tijeras le hacemos cuatro cortes a los lados que serán los pétalos y por ultimo le daremos forma redondeada, tanto como quieras.
While the base dries, we will cut the egg carton to make some flowers. The first thing is to cut the holes and separate them, with the scissors we make four cuts on the sides that will be the petals and finally we will give it a rounded shape, as much as you want.
Puedes hacerlas en tamaños diferentes, más redondas y pequeñas o más abiertas. Después de esto solo debes pintar.
You can make them in different sizes, rounder and smaller or more open. After this you just have to paint.
Con las flores secando, pinta el tronco de la flor, no tiene que tener una forma exacta. También hice una especie de cerca con unas paletas picadas a la mitad. Únelas con silicon y listo, puedes pegar a la base.
With the flowers drying, paint the stem of the flower, it doesn't have to be an exact shape. I also made a kind of fence with some popsicles cut in half. Join them with silicone and voila, you can stick to the base.
Antes de terminar, quise darle un detalle mas a mi cuadro. Con la ayuda de una perforadora y unos retazos de cartulina, hice un pequeño cartel alusivo al Día de la Madre. La idea es darle provecho a todo el material que tengas, así sean pocos retazos.
Before finishing, I wanted to give one more detail to my painting. With the help of a hole punch and some pieces of cardboard, I made a small poster alluding to Mother's Day. The idea is to take advantage of all the material you have, even if there are few scraps.
Y como punto final, corté un círculo en cartulina amarilla y le coloque unos rayos con maíz para cotufas, un toque divertido y único. Que tal quedo mi Cuadro Decorativo del Día de la Madre?
And as a final point, I cut a circle out of yellow cardboard and placed some rays with corn for popcorn, a fun and unique touch. How was my Mother's Day Decorative Picture?
Agrega una cinta para colgar y listo, un lindo cuadro para regalar y decorar en casa.
Add a ribbon to hang and voila, a nice box to give and decorate at home.
Espero les haya gustado mi trabajo con los materiales que tenía en casa, evitando generar desperdicios y dándole un mejor uso a los materiales como cartón y otros. Podemos hacer cosas increíbles si ponemos un poco de nuestra parte y aprendemos a reciclar y reutilizar.
I hope you liked my work with the materials I had at home, avoiding generating waste and making better use of materials such as cardboard and others. We can do incredible things if we do our part and learn to recycle and reuse.
