Educación = Valores

Hello nice people of the hive, I feel lost of this challenge, because I have left it in oblivion, but I have decided to take it up again and this time with a lot of responsibility. This topic gives a lot to talk about, so let's start.

With the little that I have known and learned in my 20 (almost 21) years of life, I have realized the decadence that currently exists in education, both academically and personally. It is then how I will divide this topic, in those two aspects.

Everything expressed here is from my point of view, without wanting to offend anyone, and all from my Venezuelan experience.

Academic.

The educational system in my country is deficient (not to describe it in any other way), the system is very obsolete in most of the educational grades and the absence of professors and teachers has caused it to decline more and more every day. Less than two years ago for an event that was to be held in my city, I was asked to speak on this topic "How do we want to be evaluated?" A question that disoriented more than one.

In the talk I talked about the different educational models that existed outside my country, I was very struck by countries like China had reinvented its educational model, and look at the global potential that this country is. In the USA there is an educational plan designed by Steve Jobs, in which the student is part of the creation of the topics to be covered in class and how they will be evaluated. There are ways, and thousands of ways to vary and make school or higher education different. But for that, you have to want to make yourself different.

I want to clarify that there are very good teachers and professors, who really manage with the few resources they have, but the support for those professionals is scarce, that also leads to demotivation and that is when we see that more and more, the education career is lowering its enrollment.

I honestly think that this situation can improve, but you really have to want to do it, the Venezuelan youth has changed a lot, and they have also stopped caring about many things, I really hope that at some point this will improve.

Personal.

Personal education I mean the one that comes from home, from mom and dad. Values have been totally lost, we have reached a point (perhaps irreversible) that respect is almost nil, instead brazenness is the protagonist of most of the problems nowadays.

While some empathy has been achieved due to the movement in RRSS (social networks) that has been developing, understanding "different" people more, understanding in itself that we are different, but progress only comes for those who know and want to move forward, there are many who do not.

From my opinion:

Education = Values.

Values can come from home, they can be acquired on their own and they must also be taught. That's why we always talk about a person being "educated" or not.

Sorry if I have gone a little off topic, but this post gives me to write much more, however, I do not want to lengthen it. I hope you enjoyed my thoughts and I repeat that my intention is not to offend anyone, if I did I apologize in advance. See you soon.
