Today is a very important day and not precisely because of my mom's new coffee maker, but because: It's her birthday!
Mi mamá es la persona más importante en mi vida a pesar de todo lo que podamos discutir y de todas las veces que nuestras personalidades difieren, esto no lo estoy diciendo solo porque es un día especial realmente se lo digo siempre y ella a mi (nuestras peleas duran poco). Si alguien hizo sacrificios por mí, esa persona fue mi mamá e incluso hasta antes de saber que existía, desde muy joven se esforzó por ser mejor cada día y así brindarme todas las herramientas necesarias para mi desarrollo cuando me tuviera en sus manos, por lo tanto siempre que puedo le hago saber lo mucho que la amo y lo mucho que me importa sin necesidad de haber un día especial, igual me gusta decir que todos los días son especiales jajjaa pero hoy es un día súper mega ultra especial.
My mom is the most important person in my life despite all that we may argue and all the times that our personalities differ, I am not just saying this because it is a special day, I really tell her all the time and she tells me (our fights are short-lived). If someone made sacrifices for me, that person was my mom and even before I knew she existed, from a very young age she made an effort to be better every day and give me all the necessary tools for my development when she had me in her hands, so whenever I can I let her know how much I love her and how much I care about her without the need for a special day, I like to say that every day is special hahaha but today is a super mega ultra special day.
Siempre me gusta hacer regalitos por muy pequeños que sean, hacer un detalle muchas veces hace la diferencia y puede cambiar el día de una persona, pensar en un regalo para mi mamá es algo... Complicado porque ella muy pocas veces utiliza cosas como accesorios y tiene gustos bastante selectivos con cosas como cremas aromatizadas o perfumes (después dice que la complicada soy yo), así que comprarle alguna de esas cosas es arriesgarme a gastar dinero en algo que no va usar nunca y esto lo digo por experiencia, una vez le regale unos aretes y solo los uso ese día jajajaja en fin, me senté a analizar un poquito y si hay algo que mi mamá ame es el café, entonces recordé que todas las cafeteras que habíamos comprado pasaron a una vida mejor y dije: le regalaré una cafetera!. Con ayuda de mi papá fui al centro el día de ayer en busca de buenas opciones y aunque me enamore de una super cafetera programable una voz en mi cabeza me recordaba a mi mamá diciendo una vez que nunca volvería a comprar una de esas porque se dañó su tarjeta madre, entonces me fui por una con especificaciones más básicas que me pareció encantadora.
I always like to give little gifts no matter how small they are, making a detail often makes a difference and can change a person's day, thinking of a gift for my mom is something.... Complicated because she rarely uses things like accessories and has very selective tastes with things like scented creams or perfumes (later she says that I am the complicated one), so buying her some of those things is risking to spend money on something that she will never use and I say this from experience, once I gave her some earrings and she only used them that day hahahaha anyway, I sat down to analyze a little bit and if there is something that my mom loves is coffee, then I remembered that all the coffee makers that we had bought went to a better life and I said: I will give her a coffee maker! . With my dad's help I went downtown yesterday looking for good options and although I fell in love with a super programmable coffee maker a voice in my head reminded me of my mom saying once that she would never buy one of those again because her motherboard was damaged, so I went for one with more basic specifications that I found charming.
Lamentablemente luego de eso mi mamá nos llamó para que fuéramos a buscarla a un sitio y les juro que OLVIDAMOS que teníamos la cafetera en los puestos traseros y el factor sorpresa se arruinó jajaja, pero aún así quedo enamorada de su cafetera, enamorada total jaja un sueño hecho realidad gracias a ustedes! También aprovechamos para ir a pasear un poco y me comentó que se había quedado sin sandalias de estar en la casa, así que aprovechamos y le compramos unas.
Unfortunately after that my mom called us to go pick her up somewhere and I swear we FORGOT that we had the coffee maker in the back stalls and the surprise factor was ruined hahaha, but she still fell in love with her coffee maker, totally in love haha a dream come true thanks to you! We also took the opportunity to go for a walk and she told me that she had run out of sandals to wear around the house, so we took the opportunity and bought her some.
También vio unas botas muy lindas para su trabajo a un precio bastante accesible y decidimos comprarlas, aquí un fotico de ella bien contenta con sus botas que costaron 12$ jajaja

Cómo pueden imaginar yo no me quede atrás y me compré un lindo monedero (que ya me hacía falta para mis actividades de adulta responsable) y una linda camisita en 3$, así concluimos el precumpleaños de mi mamá con unas compras exitosas y necesarias.
As you can imagine, I didn't stay behind and bought a nice purse (which I needed for my responsible adult activities) and a cute little shirt in 3$, so we concluded my mom's pre-birthday with some successful and necessary purchases.
Y luego de las 12... ¡ES HOY! ¡ES HOY!
And after 12 o'clock... IT'S TODAY! IT'S TODAY!
No les mentire diciendo que estuve cuando comenzó su día porque... Yo aún dormía, pido perdón pero mi mamá despierta muy temprano, cuando desperté ya estaba bastante activa escuchando música y hablando con mis tías, decidieron hacer una sopa de costillas (y yo feliz porque amo esa sopa), aproveche de acomodar un poco para hacer la estadía de mis tías más cómoda. Así pasamos el día en familia, contando chistes y disfrutando de nuestra compañía, la torta como siempre en manos de nuestra repostera estrella mami nina, haciéndonos felices con sus dulces jajaja. En resumen diré que estos días para mí valen oro y daría todo por verla feliz siempre al lado de sus seres queridos, quienes se que también aman verla feliz.
I won't lie to you saying that I was there when your day started because.... I was still sleeping, I apologize but my mom woke up very early, when I woke up she was already quite active listening to music and talking with my aunts, they decided to make a rib soup (and I was happy because I love that soup), I took the opportunity to accommodate a little to make the stay of my aunts more comfortable. So we spent the day as a family, telling jokes and enjoying our company, the cake as always in the hands of our star baker mommy nina, making us happy with her sweets hahaha. In summary I will say that these days for me are worth gold and I would give everything to see her happy always next to her loved ones, who I know also love to see her happy.
Just as you took it upon yourself to make my happiness and dreams a reality, I will take it upon myself to make you happy every day. Happy Birthday Mommy.
