no le gusta el trabajo ya,
le entrega su disfraz
y se va, para jamás regresar.
A Christmas elf was resting,
on a sofa in the living room,
until a reindeer arrived at his house
and stood next to him.
The reindeer came to quit,
he no longer liked the job,
he handed over his costume
and left, never to return.
Santa Claus no puede salir sin renos,
y el duende sabe muy bien esto,
va en busca de un reemplazo bueno
y que sepa andar a paso lento.
Regresa con un burro grisáceo
y le pone el disfraz de inmediato,
al burro no le interesa el trabajo
y le dice que no firmará contrato.
Santa Claus can't go out without reindeer,
and the elf knows this very well.
He goes in search of a good replacement
that knows how to walk slowly.
He returns with a grayish donkey
and puts the costume on him immediately.
The donkey isn't interested in the job
and tells him he won't sign the contract.
El duende es muy ingenioso
y solucionará esto de algún modo,
consigue una caja de tono luminoso
y la arrastra con un cabo rojo.
En esa caja lleva el disfraz de reno,
no camina pero será un buen complemento,
Santa Claus tiene 9 renos
y ahora estarán completos.

and drags it along with a red rope.
