Hello to the HIVE community!
Mi nombre es Mercedes Maizo Acuña, soy venezolana y vivo en la capital del Edo. Miranda, Los Teques. Graduada y con empleos en el sector bancario en el área de Mercadeo; así como también en otras ramas administrativas como RRHH en el sector de la Construcción. Con cursos y talleres que van desde Comunicación y Relaciones Humanas, Técnicas de Promoción, Mercadeo Directo, Obligaciones en Materia Laboral, hasta un Diplomado en Salud Laboral, entre otros. Y tengooo… les iba a colocar mi edad; pero hace unos días leí por ahí: “Nunca olvides que los años que tienes en realidad son los años que no tienes. Lo único que te queda es la vida por delante…” Así que no les voy a decir mi edad jajajaja… Además, estoy convencida ahora más que nunca, uno es el resultado de lo que lo que hemos hecho o dejado de hacer, sin importar hace cuánto tiempo fue y si eso fue bueno o malo.
My name is Mercedes Maizo Acuña, I am Venezuelan and I live in the capital of Miranda State, Los Teques. Graduated and with jobs in the banking sector in the Marketing area; as well as in other administrative branches such as HR in the Construction sector. With courses and workshops ranging from Communication and Human Relations, Promotion Techniques, Direct Marketing, Labor Obligations, to a Diploma in Occupational Health, among others. And I haveoo... I was going to put my age, but a few days ago I read somewhere: "Never forget that the years you have are actually the years you don't have. The only thing you have left is your life ahead of you... " So I am not going to tell you my age hahahaha... Besides, I am convinced now more than ever, we are the result of what we have done or not done, no matter how long ago it was and if it was good or bad.
Esta soy yo hoy: además de dos hijos en mi haber, soy abuela, esposa, soy hija, hermana, tía, amiga. Pero ante todo soy Mujer, simplemente una mujer y eso ya es bastante. Entonces les voy compartir en esta plataforma mis vivencias, lo que quiero hacer, mis deseos, mis sueños, mis capacidades, aprendizajes, mi sentir y mi pensar a partir de este momento y en adelante de los 55 (Ay, al final, si lo dije jajaja).
This is me today: in addition to two children to my credit, I am a grandmother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend. But above all I am a woman, simply a woman, and that is enough. So I am going to share on this platform my experiences, what I want to do, my desires, my dreams, my abilities, my learning, my feelings and my thoughts from this moment on and from 55 on (Oh, at the end, if I said it hahaha).
A partir de un evento de salud, mi vida cambió casi inmediatamente. Pero reconozco que me resistí a ese giro y seguí en la habitualidad de mi vida. Solo cambie algunas cosas, como la parte del estrés que llevaba mi trabajo y a tomar con más calma otros aspectos de mi vida. Casi dos años después, no solo ciertas circunstancias, sino que también mi mente, cuerpo y todo mi ser actuaron y me llevaron a que ese cambio se manifestara ampliamente.
After a health event, my life changed almost immediately. But I admit that I resisted this change and continued with my life as usual. I only changed a few things, such as the stress part of my job and to take other aspects of my life more calmly. Almost two years later, not only certain circumstances, but also my mind, body and my whole being acted and led me to manifest that change widely.
No trabajo actualmente, pero no por voluntad propia, ni por la situación de salud; eso fue parte de las circunstancias y la situación país. Al principio estuve envuelta en descanso y tranquilidad estando liberada ya, de las responsabilidades laborales como Jefa de Oficina, realicé por un tiempo corto y para esa misma empresa algunos trabajos a destajos de menor envergadura; sin presión, ni mayor compromiso y muchas veces desde la comodidad de mi casa.
I am not working at present, but not because of my own will, nor because of my health situation; that was part of the circumstances and the country's situation. At the beginning I was involved in rest and tranquility, being already freed from the work responsibilities as Office Manager, I did for a short time and for that same company some smaller piece work, without pressure or greater commitment and often from the comfort of my home.
También me dispuse hacer algo que había pospuesto: practicar Yoga (algo que pensé inmediatamente después de haberme recuperado de la Parálisis Facial). Y con unos cuantos meses no solo me gustó y avance algo; sino que también me interesé en otros aspectos relativos a esta práctica. La pandemia me interrumpió y seguí haciendo las posturas en casa a través de videos guiados por Internet por un tiempo, aunque actualmente no. Confieso que me hace falta y me conforta más el contacto de la clase en grupo y estar en directo con un instructor.
I also set out to do something I had postponed: to practice Yoga (something I thought of immediately after recovering from Facial Palsy). And after a few months I not only enjoyed it and made some progress, but also became interested in other aspects of the practice. The pandemic interrupted me and I continued doing the postures at home through guided videos on the Internet for a while, but not now. I confess that I miss and find more comfort in the contact of the group class and being in direct contact with an instructor.
Reconozco que el poco tiempo en la práctica del Yoga me despertó el interés por cosas que ya sabía o había escuchado pero no le daba importancia y por otras tantas que no sabía. Me abrió ventanas a cosas nuevas que comenzaron a apasionarme, y es que en definitiva mi mente y mi cuerpo buscaban lo que necesitaba escuchar, saber y hacer. Yo estaba en un proceso que no comprendía del todo para ese momento.
I recognize that the short time in the practice of Yoga awakened my interest in things that I already knew or had heard but did not give importance to and many others that I did not know. It opened windows to new things that began to excite me, and is that ultimately my mind and my body were looking for what I needed to hear, know and do. I was in a process that I did not fully understand at that time.
La Pandemia y el confinamiento nos han dado un cúmulo de cosas a todos en el mundo; aprendizajes, reflexiones, tristezas, llanto y tal vez a otros tantos que se han permitido ver más allá; también le ha dado alegrías. Si, alegrías aunque suene contradictorio, pero resulta que ya yo estaba en una especie de confinamiento para cuando se desató el Covid-19. Uno no obligado, claro, pero que vino en un principio del hecho de “no tener trabajo” y seguí así. Y me preguntaba: ¿Por qué tanta calma y pasividad? ¿Por qué este “no hacer nada”? ¿Por qué tanto interés y ganas de mantenerme así?
The Pandemic and the confinement have given us a lot of things to everyone in the world; learning, reflections, sadness, tears and perhaps to many others who have allowed themselves to see beyond; it has also given joy. Yes, joys although it sounds contradictory, but it turns out that I was already in a kind of confinement by the time Covid-19 broke out. One not forced, of course, but that came at first from the fact of "not having a job" and I stayed that way. And I asked myself: Why so much calm and passivity? Why this "doing nothing"? Why so much interest and desire to keep me like that?
Entre mis matas, las de rosas, las de fresas pasé mis días; maravillada de lo que me daban: flores, frutos, colores, retoños, y sus lecciones de vida… Ellas en definitiva no estaban en cuarentena (he aquí “una alegría” de esta situación virulenta). Siempre me ha gustado ver el cielo, los atardeceres y algunos amaneceres, deleitarme con la gama de colores y contrastes increíbles que uno puede apreciar al verlos, y en este tiempo lo he disfrutado más que nunca; ellos tampoco descansan ni saben de tiempos de radicales o de flexibilización; (“otra alegría”) o satisfacción más de estos tiempos.
I spent my days among my bushes, roses and strawberries; marveling at what they gave me: flowers, fruits, colors, shoots, and their life lessons... They were definitely not in quarantine (here is "a joy" of this virulent situation). I have always liked to see the sky, the sunsets and some sunrises, to delight myself with the range of colors and incredible contrasts that one can appreciate when seeing them, and in this time I have enjoyed it more than ever; they also do not rest nor do they know of times of radicals or flexibilization; ("another joy") or satisfaction of these times.
Poco a poco entendí lo lento de este proceso para mí y pude dar respuesta a mis interrogantes: fue porque lo acepté y me lo permití, me estaba escuchando pues mi cuerpo y mente me estaban hablando fuerte; (tampoco estaban, ni están de cuarentena). Me di la libertad de saber y entender que ya había hecho lo que me tocaba por obligación, responsabilidad, o lo que otros querían que hiciera. Ahora me toca hacer lo quiero. Tengo trabajos, gustos y deseos pendientes desde hace tiempo, de hecho, es lo único que quiero tomar del pasado; puesto que cuenta lo que soy Hoy. Además, soy libre de hacer lo que me gusta como: expresar, escribir, decir, dejar enseñanzas y esta plataforma me da esa libertad y sí además, me puede dar ingresos… Que felicidad, ganar dinero con algo que te gusta si no es la perfección, es la gloria o simplemente la alegría de poder compartirlos con ustedes. Por ahí también leí: “Ser libre no es hacer lo que quieres, es estar contento con lo que haces” y estoy contenta de pertenecer a la comunidad de HIVE.
Little by little I understood how slow this process was for me and I was able to give answers to my questions: it was because I accepted it and allowed myself to do it, I was listening to myself because my body and mind were speaking loudly to me (they were not, nor are they quarantined). I gave myself the freedom to know and understand that I had already done what I had to do because of obligation, responsibility, or what others wanted me to do. Now it is my turn to do what I want to do. I have jobs, tastes and desires pending for a long time, in fact, it is the only thing I want to take from the past; since what counts is what I am today. Besides, I am free to do what I like: express, write, say, leave teachings and this platform gives me that freedom and yes, it can also give me income... What happiness, to earn money with something you like if it is not perfection, it is the glory or simply the joy of being able to share it with you. I also read: "To be free is not to do what you want, it is to be happy with what you do" and I am happy to belong to the HIVE community.
No puedo culminar esto sin decirles que el escrito que mencioné inicialmente culmina con la palabra: “¡Disfrútala!” la vida, claro… Y eso voy hacer. AGRADECIDA de antemano a ustedes por permitírmelo.

El comienzo puede ser abrumador, pero temo que no todos pasaron por las mismas dificultades.
Sin embargo, debo advertirle que es muy adictivo, pero entenderemos que 😉 2021 será un gran año para los blogs, ¡no en lo más mínimo porque usted decidió unirse! Así que de nuevo Bienvenido a la colmena.
Es un verdadero movimiento y blockchain, y me encanta que hayas decidido unirte a nosotros aquí. Te divertirás escribiendo blogs y vlogs, lo prometo.
