Espero que estén bien hoy, yo lo estoy aunque cansada y un poco impactada pensando en un hecho muy triste que sucedió hace unos días aqui en casa cuando estábamos fuera.
Pero les contaré la historia desde el comienzo para que entiendan lo que yo asumo que pasó, cuando nos mudamos hace tres meses a la casa donde ahora vivimos, la chica que vivía antes estaba muy preocupada porque su gato se había escapado y ella se tuvo que ir y dejarlo.

La sra realmente estaba bastante preocupada, ya que vino varias veces seguido pidiendo que por favor si el gato regresaba, la llamaríamos inmediatamente fuese la hora que fuese y ella venía por su mascota, nos dió una descripción de este e incluso dejo su alimento favorito para que nosotros se lo pusiéramos y ver si el gato regresaba.
Después de unos tres días escuchamos al gato llorar en el techo, pues me imagino que vio que su dueña no estaba y mis niños intentaron llamarlo pero él asustado se alejo, así pasaron noches y él gato seguía viniendo pero solo podíamos escucharlo llorar, tratamos de llamarlo con cariño y de seguirle poniendo la comida y agua pero este no bajo del techo nunca.
The lady was really worried, she came several times asking us to call her immediately if the cat came back, no matter what time it was and she came for her pet, she gave us a description of it and even left her favorite food for us to put it and see if the cat came back.
After about three days we heard the cat crying on the roof, I guess he saw that his owner was not there and my children tried to call him but he was scared and went away, so nights went by and the cat kept coming but we could only hear him crying, we tried to call him with love and keep putting food and water but he never came down from the roof.
Cuando la dueña volvió a la semana le explicamos lo que pasaba y ella se fue por toda la urbanización pidiéndole a los demás vecinos que si veían a su gato por favor la llamarán, en su cara se veía la tristeza y preocupación por su gato.
Particularmente no soy amante a ningún animal pero respeto el amor que otras personas pueden tenerles, asi que estuvimos más atentos está vez y pudimos verlo pero como siempre se escabulló y nos fue imposible de perseguir.
When the owner returned a week later we explained to her what was going on and she went all over the urbanization asking the other neighbors that if they saw her cat to please call her, in her face you could see the sadness and concern for her cat.
I am not an animal lover but I respect the love that other people may have for them, so we were more attentive this time and we were able to see him but as always he slipped away and it was impossible for us to chase him.
Pasaron así los días y meses y nosotros nos olvidamos del gato, hasta hace dos días que al llegar a casa después de haber estado fuera todo el fin de semana, nos encontramos con una triste e inesperada situación por así llamarlo.
Cuando llegamos a casa nos dimos cuenta que el pobre animalito estaba muerto en nuestro cuarto, que era donde él antes dormía con su dueña, no les voy a negar que al principio fue muy desagradable la situación tanto que nisiquiera me detuve a pensar en su dueña, solo quería desaserme de él y limpiar rápidamente todo.
Days and months went by and we forgot about the cat, until two days ago, when we arrived home after being away all weekend, we found a sad and unexpected situation, so to speak.
When we got home we realized that the poor little animal was dead in our room, which was where he used to sleep with his owner, I will not deny that at first the situation was very unpleasant so much that I did not even stop to think about his owner, I just wanted to get rid of him and clean up quickly.
Pero ya después que todo paso y pudimos recostarnos tranquilamente, recordé el afán con el que su dueña lo buscaba y me sentí mal, de solo pensar ¿si debíamos decirle la verdad cuando vuelva o solo decir que no lo hemos vuelto a ver?
Además que me siento un poco culpable de lo sucedido ya que hace unas semanas vimos por la cocina un raton pequeñito y de una vez pusimos veneno para este, pero había una gran cantidad y quedaba algo aún en el lugar donde lo dejamos.
But after everything happened and we could lie down quietly, I remembered the eagerness with which his owner was looking for him and I felt bad, just thinking if we should tell him the truth when he comes back or just say that we haven't seen him again?
Besides I feel a little guilty about what happened because a few weeks ago we saw a tiny mouse in the kitchen and we put some poison for it, but there was a large amount and there was still some in the place where we left it.
Y como nosotros no estábamos en casa, el gato entro por una ventana del cuarto que queda bastante alta, se le hizo fácil entrar porque está muy cerca del techo, pero salir por allí era imposible, asi que yo pienso que se terminó de comer el veneno y por eso murió, sin embargo no fue algo intencional.
Así que no se ¿si decirle la verdad o decirle que no ha vuelto?
And since we were not at home, the cat entered through a window of the room that is quite high, it was easy for him to enter because it is very close to the roof, but it was impossible to get out through there, so I think that he finished eating the poison and that's why he died, however it was not intentional.
So I don't know whether to tell him the truth or to tell him that he didn't come back?
Of course this is a sad event. People who love pets suffer a lot from the separation of those animals. As a kid, I used to love animals. I was inspired to raise a variety of pets during that time. But later I realized that it was a guilty act. We must allow animals to live as freely as they want. Otherwise, making them trapped in a house is an obstacle to the freedom of the animals. However, dogs and cats are the most sought after items in the home.
Well I just hope his owner doesn't have to know the truth. I know she will be very sad and I will feel guilty.
